the main question being asked now days is, why are all the enntertaining housemates gone,

well i may have a conclusion to that.
adults 35+ are mostly voting because its there phone bill and there voting, and think about all thoes adults that dont have kids that watch bb, the adults that are 35+ are voting more than teens, and the teens like the entertaining of pranks, arguements, and all that but on the other hand, adults that are 35+ like more of the peacefull people and mature people like derek that dont pull pranks and that, and adults vote more than teens, and adults getting all there votes in to get out the people that pull pranks and argue and bring entertainment?? might be wrong but its a conclusion.

I wouldn't read that much really into it,I just say that people go because their time is up and people want them out.

If it is due to the age of viwers and voters then so be it but whoever gets the most votes deserves to get the boot, that's exactly what BB is.Vote out who you don' want in.

And as for the most "entertaining" housemates being kicked out,it's a matter of opinion as to who are the most entertaining.

Yeah but you can't tell me you find Eugene more entertaining than Science/Kemal !!

yea but eugene wasnt up for eviction so you cant compare eugene to any housemates that have gone. because you never know eugene could have gone.

I think you will find that it's teen's who vote most in big brother. They can vote on their mobiles aswell.

I believe that people vote for who they don't like, not whether they are entertaining or not (eg. Science).

The unfortunate truth about being an entertainer is for as may people that love you, there are who hate you (or more).

I agree.. People may not like them but think about the entertainment for gods sake!

And I honestly don't know one 35+ year old who votes on BB. It's mainly teens and young adults, and I don't think that age has anything to do with it at all.

I didn't find Kemal entertaining one bit. Just a desperate wannabee who liked the sound of his own annoying voice.

Maxwell and Science were the only two that kept it going

Science was the only one that held it all together.

Has anyone noticed that since he's left it's become soooo boring ?

It has been boring other than the spy task but that was only because Craig looked so silly in his wigs and when he was getting covered in Anthony's vomit.

This years show has been a fix, well and truely.

BB has also interviened to much without letting housemates get on with it.

The housemates make any form of mild bullying, violence and the housemate in question is out to a weaker more boring charactor. Coincidence? I though it might have been but then it happend again and again.

It happend with Roberto

It happend with Maxwell

It happend with Science

The voting system is what makes things bad too many people seem to hate the more interesting housemates so they phone and evict them, it needs changing to who do you want to keep like with most of the other shows.

I agree that BB has messed around too much this year, with the nominations and having so many secret missions and 3 new housemates being brought it just makes it look like a farce.

i actually think, that some one likes a person in the house and when that housemate gets popular, that person will want to be diffrent to others and like a least popular housemate, some ppl just wish to be diffrent to others, maybe thats another case, but im not saying im right lol just suggestion

That's true, and I think that's why people like Science and Kemal went. Because they have strong personalities, people either really like them or don't like them at all. Someone like Orlaith is not a strong personality, so people don't feel that strongly about her either way (although people dislike her more now she's walked), so maybe they don't bother to pick up the phone to vote her out.

I've noticed. I've not watched it much since he went, for that reason. I watched Kinga enter the house though!

I'm not sure I agree with the age thing mate. I doubt there are many kids who ask their parents to use the phone these days, and those who do will probably give them the number to phone. They're probably more likely to slyly call up using a phone upstairs when nobody's around and face the music when the bill comes in! I'm sure there's a proportion of older people who watch the show and vote out loudish and argumentative housemates but are probably more inclined to register their vote once as opposed to younger people who will phone up several or more times.

I think its more to do with the current voting system which I think should be changed so the public vote to keep in housemates. It seems the trend that housemates who cause arguments, shout, have game plans, make fools of themselves and upset others are more likely to be evicted than quiet ones. For me these are the people who we should be keeping in, not kicking out. If Big Brother sent out the message to the public to keep in housemates who deserves to stay this will have a major effect on how the public votes.

Theres people every year who will say that BB is fixed...but what's the point in complaining about it?!

If Maxwell won it wouldn't be a fix would it?But god if Makosi won it would be the biggest farce in the world.

I will agree that BB has played around with the nomination process too much this year and has bendd the rules to suit themselves but at the end of the day that's Big Brother.

i have a theory too.

roberto was against derek and both were entertaining
maxwell was a full on wanker
science was competing against fans of all the other housemates
kemal wasnt being happy anymore, just miserable

I don't think many entertaining housemates have gone, Makosi, Eugene and Derek are still there.

When did Eugene become entertaining? Derek and Makosi are just desperate game players that spend most of the time bitching which is pretty tedious imo.

I don't see her appeal to be honest, I think I cannot look past all the lies and the bitching though.

Roberto was the dullest hm this year, by some considerable distance.

Agreed - Maxwell was indeed a full on corker!

Weren't all of the hm's that have gone in the same position?

He seemed fine to me. It was the week before that he was quiet and reserved, I thought.

ye i voted on my mobile but half the texts get rejected i think you would find hes right its mainly people who pay there own phone bills pr in orlaiths case she was only one from northern ireland so most (i arent saying all before anyone says anything) but most of nothern ireland would have voted for orlaith were as england is divided by all the other house mates in there

I'm 31. Here is my opinion on behalf of the 30-somethings...

I watch the show for the entertaining HMs, even the immature ones. If I didn't like entertaining/immature/obnoxious/outgoing/flamboyant/wild characters, then I would be watching something else (like my parents do).

Most of the people over 35 who like boring stuff just simply do not watch Big Brother. So, to blame the over 35s for the demise of the entertaining HMs is - in my opinion - inaccurate. I think the blame has to lie at the producer's door for carefully selecting the highlights they show on the C4 show. Some people only get to see it, and don't get to watch much live feed.

Also, it seems to me that since almost all young people have mobiles, that they will use them to vote, so that the phone bill is not an issue. It's not exactly expensive to vote once each week.

I only vote in the final of BB for who I want to win. I never vote in the weeks leading up to it.

I conclude.. I do not believe that the "oldies" are to blame for the show going to the dogs.

PS. I wanted Maxwell to win, I found Kemal funny and I loved Science. In case anyone wanted to know. :spin:
