Channel 4 air airing a week of special 3D programming from Monday 16th November. Shows include:

The Queen In 3D
"Channel 4 airs astonishing, unseen footage, shot in 3D, of The Queen during her Coronation year. A two part series, The Queen in 3D, tells the story of two innovative young camera men, Bob Angell and Arthur Wooster – now in their 80s – who filmed a 3D colour newsreel they named Royal Review."

Derren Brown's 3D Magic Spectacular
"In addition Derren Brown’s 3D Magic Spectacular features some of the world’s greatest, funniest and most shocking magicians performing magic in stunning 3D."

The Greatest Ever 3D Moments
"The Greatest Ever 3D Moments reveals the top ten 3D moments of all time from movies, television and pop videos."

...and 3D Films:

Flesh For Frankenstein
"The 3D version of Paul Morrissey's macabre and wacky 70s take on the Frankenstein story."

Friday The 13th Part III
"Steve Miner's third film in the horror franchise leaps off the screen."

If you're interested in watching, then you can pick up pairs of 3D Glasses for free at participating Sainsbury's stores from tomorrow, the 4th of November.

I'll be watching Derren Brown but I'm not sure about the rest of it.

Read about this on Derren's blog or something a while back. Was excited then, and am even more excited now. The more Derren is on TV the better.

Can't wait!

EDIT:Sainsbury's

Yep, 10million pairs will be available in Sainsbury's apparently so they're clearly expecting it to be a success.

In addition to the programmes listed above, there will also be a 3D ad-break, and C4 have said that there will be a 3D Hannah Montana concert, though I don't see that in schedules.

Here are promotional pictures for The Queen and Derren Brown:

I got 3D glasses with the DVD of " My bloody valentine". It didn't really work very well and I can't see this being much better. It only seems to work effectively on the big screen.

I'm not entirely sure. Channel 4 are using a technology called ColorCode, so the 3D glasses need to be compatible with that. ColorCode 3D glasses have blue and amber-coloured lenses.

Obviously the glasses are now available at Sainsburys, but to save you a pointless trip, here's a list of stores that don't stock them: Click here (http://www2.sainsburys.co.uk/NR/rdonlyres/513DDA08-703F-4300-9497-FB52FAE87CC8/0/Store_list.pdf) (requires Adobe Reader)

Channel 4 has created special 3D versions of its' idents for the week, according to Marketing Magazine (http://www.marketingmagazine.co.uk/channel/Television/article/950085/JLS-promote-music-3D/):

During the week the broadcaster will be showing 3D versions of its idents, in which the camera pans around structures to reveal the '4' logo.

I'm most looking forward to seeing them now :o

Apparently stocks are running low now, but if you're in again and you don't see any out try asking at customer services - that's how I got mine :)

It was a bit crap tbh, only a few things work - at the start when he pointed all those things at us, that card trick, and some glitter coming out at us, everything else was a fail :joker:

I thought it was great! Card trick especially.

Lots of people I know are saying it's crap but you have to realise that we're not in a cinema, so it's obviously not going to work as well on a TV set. :joker:
