Channel 4 will reportedly attempt to boost viewing figures for its last series of Celebrity Big Brother by increasing the amount of live streaming.
According to The Mirror, the broadcaster will show up to eight hours of footage a day, including the streaming of live tasks in the afternoon.
E4 boss Angela Jain said: "Viewers will be delighted to know that live streaming will be available for a few hours each day on E4 and overnight when Celebrity Big Brother returns to Channel 4 in the New Year for the final series."
Host Davina McCall will again present Big Brother's Big Mouth, which will now air twice a week instead of once.
The 24-7 live feed of Big Brother was controversially axed this year due to falling viewing figures.
During Big Brother 10, McCall confirmed that there would not be a return to a 24-hour service on the reality show.
Fans of the show have petitioned producers to reintroduce the continuous footage for the programme's final series.
Celebrity Big Brother returns to Channel 4 in January 2010.

8 hours?.. Still the same, don't care about afternood live feed but what the fans don't want is the live feed starting at midnight or after..
Fk all on E4 anyway, just cheap yank shít that C4 keeping buying! 10pm would be ideal to start the live feed on E4 if the main show is on at 9pm.

I predict this will be the best ever series of CBB.
I predict this will be the best ever series of CBB.
If the last series is anything to go by I predict it'll be the worst
Things are looking up already, then. No doubt some people will still find room to complain. I really believe Big Brother next year will be flat out amazing. It's the final series. I know they botched up quiet a lot of the past few years but, well, This Is It, so to speak.

Up to 8 hours of live streaming a day?
So basically the overnight feed again then plus maybe an hour in the afternoon to show live tasks.
Not really much to get excited about now is it?

I suspect if it goes well, even more live feed will be introduced for BB11.
I am sure the celebrities probably get a bit of politicking anyway as to how much they can be shown on TV now that the 24/7 is gone. I imagine contracting a celebrity at eight hours live footage a day for a series versus 12-13 would create a price difference.

Not good enough.
If this is what they're planning for BB11 too then quite frankly they can go **** themselves.

Tbh, dont care that much for CBB.
They think they can make people like And forgive them after taking away live feed on BB10?
Nah, if they dont put RED BUTON Feed on BB11 Then Im glad BB is leaving Channel 4

Do they not get it, just take out the 4 or so hours of live feed when they are just sleeping, and put in 4 hours during the day.

BB is finished, Patrick, it's leaving channel 4 and leaving TV for good. It won't get taken on by another channel.
As for CBB, won't watch much of it myself, if any.
And could not give a **** about Live Feed.

Trust me it will be back. Not for quite a few years but I'm confident it'll return in 5/10/15 or whatever years.
The format is just too simple yet effective for it not to be able to work in the future. It's the basis of every other reality show there is.
Without Big Brother there would be none of many of the other shows we have today, and that's why it'll be back one day.

Maybe so, but it's overrun it's stay in the current format. Should have ended at least 2 years ago.
The show is a laughing stock amongst most of the public.

Oh definitely, I agree with that.
But in the future with a new generation, and thus a new audience there's no reason why it couldn't have the success it had years ago.

Once again, Agree completely with that post.
The show still has fans, and like Davina said theres no reason to axe it.
Its doing well in other countries, and BBUK Is most knowen so it could always work again.
A Break would be good though :)

Oooo brilliant... NOT
Thats 2 hours extra.
I dont get it, they cant put in the red button... but they have the money and space to repeat Friends 776 times over and over again filling up 4 hours a day. (and im a huge Friends fan tooo)

So really it's exactly the same as the last CBB (and Hijack,BB9 before that) - overnight streaming and a couple of hours in the afternoon.
All seems rather pointless though considering the decision has now been made.

Big changes at C4... Really it means more cheap US programs to fill E4.
Next CBB will be same as the last and BB11, yep same as BB10.. The format just needs more live support and injected with fresh new ideas.

Yes, "more" is untrue.
A bad start for CBB7.

No, BB9 had a red button, not sure about Hijack, I didn't care too much for that
I don't really care anyway tbh, BB9 is the only decent series we've had since 2006 so I doubt they're going to do anything special for CBB7 and BB11. I'll probably just dip in and out of it. Well I say that now by the time May comes and we've got the adverts running I'll probably be as excited as anything :blush2:
Used to love Celeb BB more but thats run its course now, will definitely just dip in and out of that

E4+1 is a waste of a channel. It's just E4, one hour behind...

It is not a waste at all! It is a good thing, just in case you want to watch something else which is on the same time.. and then you can watch e4+1 or whatever! lol
its all good :D

it's ok if you missed the first repeat on E4
you can watch the repeat of the repeat an hour later on E4+1

It can come in handy as typhically with TV there is nothing on all week then all of a sudden everything is on at once, so the +1 channels can help with recording shows.
Also used to be handy when E4 had a good chunk of live streaming and you tuned in after something had happened - you could simply flick to E4+1 and catch up.
CBB has more than run it's course though - it shouldn't have been bought back after BB9 really, not until issues with the main programme had been addressed. And how anyone can justify the fees spent on the celebs is beyond me - the investment would be better elsewhere.
