My initial plan was to sit on my arse and watch the fireworks from my bedroom window, but was invited to go see the firework display and funfair at the Sheffield Arena. It was pretty amazing. Too bad there was shitty music being played throughout. Oh and some guys from X Factor were there. Have no idea why. I can't escape that ****!

Don't know why they would be in sheffield??

Nah I didn't do nothing and have only heard like 2 fireworks from my house. I think most people wait till the weekend to do fireworks nowadays

I went to a display at a park near where my missus lives and then went home and watched some more from my balcony. All the time I was thinking, 'This would be awesome if I had some acid.' I didn't have any acid so I closed my blinds and watched The Empire Strikes Back.

Bonfires... fireworks... a doctor of journalism craves not these things.

I've never celebrated Bonfire night, same with Halloween really, it never really registered in my childhood as an occasion to get excited about. Never went trick or treating, never had a pumpkin in the house and I've never got the fascination behind explosions in the sky, they're just really irritating to me and scare the bejesus out of my cat (although I wasn't at home this year, so at least I didn't have to put up with that haha)

Apparently student cities don't celebrate bonfire night haha, me and my flatmates went for a big walk to find a fireworks shop, we caught one as it closed, we bought 5 packs of sparklers and then lots of sweets.

It was fun :)

Last night me and my mates went to this firework display at their old primary school. It was so much fun, even if it was pouring with rain. <3
