FORMER Premier League star Dean Windass is aiming to appear on I’m A Celeb.
Snooker legend Jimmy White was due to star in the show.
But it’s understood he may have to pull out due to “personal reasons” before the final line-up is announced this week.
Now we can reveal that ex-Hull City striker Dean, who hung up his boots last month, is keen to get down and dirty in the jungle.
Dean, 40, reckons he would be a big hit with football fans watching the show.
He told the Daily Star Sunday: “My agent is in talks with them, so I can’t say a great deal.”
The goal machine is being earmarked for great things in the world of entertainment.
A senior telly source said: “Dean is straight talking and a real character and his presence in the jungle would liven up any show.
“The snakes, spiders and any other creepy crawlies would do well to avoid him.”
