A massive 14.4m people tuned in last night.
The peak must be over 16m
Never seen a rating like that (apart from BGT finale and EE's Xmas episode in 2007)
While Xtra Factor reached its highest rating ever I think with a huge 2.5m tuning into ITV2.
Looks like everyone was intrested to see what happened next.

which plainly illustrates that X Factor is about the show
its not about the outcome

Which explains Simons very questionable decision last night, money over talent

Not so much interested - as just want to see them go!

The final could beat BGT's record figures of a 19.2 million peak, I think 20m+ for the results of the final.

Yeah...because everyones psychic ability told them J+E would be in the bottom 2. That's the last thing anyone expected.

This makes me sick.
Its the worst year ever and it gets the best ratings ever.
Just awful.
:(
peaked at 16.6m
I don't get where all these extra viewers are coming from, surely those who wanted to watch it already would, and it already seems like everyone watches anyway!
still, next week will probably be about 15m with a peak of 17m

oo
i was suprised how entertaining jedward were even when they didn't have all of the over the top things

A lot of people will have returned for the sing off hoping the twins went, if two people you don't care about are in the bottom 2 then a lot of viewers won't watch the sing off

That's why Jedward were saved to keep viewers interested in the show. I bet a lot of people just tuned in to watch their sing off performance and to see if they were voted out once they'd heard that the twins were in the bottom 2.

The Sunday Show is a masterstroke, they get sky high ratings because there is no real competition.
wonder how many people will stop watching now though
