View Full Version : awful mood.
didn't get the job i went for and what makes it more annoying is that i passed the interview the last time so was very confident when i went in for the interview again, because my knowledge was fresh as it was only 2 months after the first interview.
the letter is a load of **** as it gives no indication of how i did just says
"Thank you for attending your recent interview. I am sorry to have to tell you that on this occasion your application has not been successful.
I know you will be disappointed, but your contribution to the success of this store is much valued, so please do not be deterred from applying for any future vacancies."
not being funny, but ofcourse i'm annoyed and disappointed that's twice in a row now that i've done well (unsure on second one like i said, it hasn't said) and didn't get the job. the first time the reasons were because they feel i'd be suited to another department when that team leader vacancy comes available... so i go for this one, and i really wanted this one the most and i don't ****ing get it. absolute ****. i understand there's reasons behind it, someone may have gotten a higher score than me - or they'd be more suited but still, it says nothing in the letter about feedback so tomorrow i will ask if i can arrange a minute to discuss feedback and see where i went wrong.
sorry if i'm a bit snappy, but i am annoyed.
nevermind though chin up and wait until the next time. no point moping about it :)

Sorry to hear that Ross  I've been in the awful mood lately from having no job, plus all this darkness ain't helping.
Least you have a job. I can't get nothing and that includes a college course. Try watching Jeremy Kyle every bloody morning and lying around.
Actually, screw those negative connotations, I'm having the time of my life.

Ross you've got further than most people your age already anyway, and you've got the groundwork set to climb the ladder. Give it some time and you'll get there, for certain. You've got the passion and you really want to do it, so you know you'll get it!
Chin up x

Wow, interesting combo there. Wonder how that one would work out? I've heard that chips, chocolate and and ice cream is nice but I'm too chicken to try it. And no, I don't mean I'm a actually a chicken here. hee hee
Im sure if you keep trying you will get it,try not to concentrate on the negative and think about the positive,at least your in work.

When I was in Glasgow someone was eating a mint chocolate aero with mayonnaise sandwich... bleurgh, just the thought makes me ill.
Another thing I don't get is when people put a scoop of ice cream into a glass of coke?!

Christ, that sounds ridiculous. I think it was chips chocolate and ice cream but I might be wrong. Might be just chips and ice cream. I keep hearing popcorn too... ah sure put it in as well - couldn't make it any worse! Apparently some people love it though.

I hate it, but I know someone who has gravy on their beans :conf:
The only weird combo I like is a smoked ham and salt & vinegar crisps butty

I used to smoke a fair bit of scooby snacks so I'm well used to combining various foods together. Can't remember what I came up with though.

I can tell you're passionate and you love your job and you seem to have everything required to get to the next level but it's only a matter of time. At the end of the day, you're 19, that's what may have cost you the job, but you'll get it, if not a further position than this one and then you will be able to tell them to screw themselves for what just happened. They may have missed a great opportunity to have a great person in their team.
I know it hurts, I can tell from my own experience but you'll get through it.
You always learn more from your fails than your successes.

I think it's just a matter of trying again when the opportunity arises. If you keep up the good work the higher ups will take note. Your time will come.

This thread reminded me that I have work tomorrow. :(
Oh well Ross, give it time, I suppose. If it happens a 3rd time, do something about it :p It seems like you've established yourself at this job, though, so I wouldn't lose hope!
