I would think - he was an individual with a brain - and not a sheep that followed the crowd!

I don't like sports, I find them way to repeatitive (kick a ball into a net)

plus I find the homosexual undertones of a bunch of burly 'straight' men watching a man run around in shorts for 90 minutes hilarious

Not one little bit - find men that are into sport soooh boring!:sleep:

Just the male version of girly girls into make-up and doing their nails

Sport = ****.

I follow some but overall it's terrible and they care about the money more than the actual sport itself.

It is all very touchy, feely - makes you wonder sometimes! Then all the macho bravado - is it a case of they protest too much?

I always doubt the masculinity of men who constantly feel the need to prove how masuline they are with all that sport, sport, sport...!

Sportsmen aren't all sheep who follow the crowd. I mean, I don't think I am personally, rugby is my passion, something I've been playing since I was a child and yes, I also do like to watch, I also like playing other sports but watching it too. Does that mean I'm a trend follower ? I don't think so.

Of course, his dislike for sweaty men running about on a pitch is definitely a cause for concern.

That's a typical reaction from someone who doesn't like sports. There is nothing sexual in watching neither rugby, football, basketball or any sports whatsoever. We like it because we like it and a man is also entitled not to like it, that doesn't mean he's gay or whatever.

Crimson Dynamo

Masculinity is manly character. Blokes. Men. Not girls or boys who think they are girls. The thing that attracts you but yet eludes you, and always will.

Stop being so stereotypical. Men don't have to like sport to be masculine, how ridiculous.

Yes I would trust a man who didn't like sport, why wouldn't I? They're entitled to enjoy different things to me (even though I'm not a lover of sport myself, except snooker), and have different opinions to me whilst still being masculine.

You are obviously not very worldly-wise then! There are loads of proper men who don't like sport. Anything in moderation is fine - but men who go overboard about any sport are incredibly boring.

I'm a lad so I don't know how I qualify for this question but if one of my mates said he hated Football and Rugby, I think I'd find it weird and I don't think we'd be likely to be mates. I play a lot of sports and discuss and watch them aswell so I don't think we'd have much in common.

In that case you need to stop being trapped inside a box where everything is perfect and everyone is the same as you or what you think they are. Go out into the big wide world and you'll see everybody is different.

He probably, like me, just surrounds himself around males who like sports because they're interested in them, and therefore most guys he knows like sport.
