fried bread and eggy bread are different. fried bread is literally just fried bread lol
eggy bread is bread thats been soaked in beaten eggs and then fried

Ok, the photo is just you in sarcy mode then. Yeah, I love French toast too, especially when I experiment a little with flavours and stuff. Nice when you make a sandwich out of it before dipping in egg.

You forgot the most important detail, it is fried in butter, not oil :nono:

I have not had it for years as we have given up frying food and so can not really do this.

The nearest I can get to this is poached eggs on toast.

NO, OIL. if you fry it in oil it goes crispy quicker and the inside stays soft. when it's fried in butter you have to cook it longer for it to get crispy and then the inside isnt as nice. it does taste nicer in butter though
