First it was Danyl for me. Then it was Stacey, then Rachel, then Joe, then Lucie.... I've had too many favourites. But things are solidifying now, so I probably won't change my mind much from now on. Here's how I see it -
Danyl - did a great audition and was going strong in the early weeks. Then went off the boil. Too much shouting and straining for effect. Now when he takes the stage, I find myself uninterested. I rate him last of the six, and would like to see him gone on Sunday night.
Lloyd - I can't really support him, and have never voted for him, because he isn't good enough. But he's taken a lot of flak, and hasn't whinged. All credit to the kid, he's getting better, and last night was his best. But I think that's as good as he's ever going to get. I rate him fifth.
Jedward - The kids from the Village of the Damned:-

- I've enjoyed the train-wreck that is Jedward, but enough already. Their speciality of making entertainment out of incompetence was done a heck of a lot better by Stavros Flatley. For entertainment value I prefer them to Danyl and Lloyd, but only just. Fourth place for me.
Joe - With Lucy gone, he's the only one left who still consistently sings in tune. And last night was no exception. He hits his notes accurately, and that counts for a lot with me. It's just that he fails to excite me or get me involved in a song. But technically, he's the best. I rate him third.
Olly - has been a bit lacklustre in his last two performances. But he does have a presence and a way of projecting a song, and giving it some fizz. And he looks the part too. Based on past performances I'll rate him second.
Stacey - for all her technical faults, she does it for me. She's obviously a very sweet character, but also quite vulnerable, and she successfully imports that combination into her performance. A song has a meaning and an emotional content when she sings it. She's my choice for winner by a fair distance.
