There are lots of "looks normal to me" "looks like a regular street to me" comments. I don't think that they are genuine but i do think they are a typical "metrosexual liberal" reaction. They dont live there and so are happy to say "oh yeah looks great, multiculturalism is great and yer they do not practice what they preach and if they had the money would look to live in as white and English a village as they could afford and so forth.

Peckham is a dump and a dangerous one at that. Why are people afraid to call the video on what is patently obvious to one and all?

I do disagree with multiculturalism. I don't think it benefits anyone at all, the immigrants included. The immigrants that came here in the 50s and 60s wanted to become British, and most of them prospered, opened small businesses etc. I think a lot of them are mystified at many of today's immigrants who come here but insist on retaining the backward ways of the countries they have left behind. I personally do not understand the mentality behind it at all. There is a reason why some countries are more succesful than others so why insist on keeping the ways of a poorer country when you have the freedom afforded by living in the West?

Although I will add - that I don't disagree with multiculturalism - just the way some people refuse to adjust to our culture in our country!

If you look at statistics they say 90-95% of the population are British. Take a bit more off that for those British but with other ethnic backgrounds, and thats still a massive majority. That video has purposely gone to somewhere like that to cause outrage from people who can't see beyond the video. Its like going to a Muslim or Jewish community and complaining about the amount of religious non-Christian people as though its a huge majority in the country.

I don't doubt that - but I think a lot of people are arguing more about people who come here from other cultures - particularly those of particular religious groups - who make no attempt to adapt to our way of life - which, of course, makes people question why they are here. Then, increasingly, some of those people turn on us and spread hate. That is not about skin colour.

I don't mind immigrants unless they don't stick to our rules. By all means follow their religion but don't attempt to turn a Christian heritage country into their own. I haven't bothered looking at the video properly but it simply looks like someone walking about showing how many ethnics there are, most of whom are just going about day to day life in the way that we do.

Anyone who turns on the country and their values don't deserve to live there imo, but if they're causing no trouble then as far as I'm concerned they're welcome.
