Simon Cowell has promised that there will be a Girls Aloud theme week on next year's X Factor.
The 50-year-old judge made the statement on last night's Xtra Factor after a member of the public suggested the theme in a phonecall to the show.
"We always try to give the public good songs, so we suggest a group that have had a lot of hits, so in three or four years, I guarantee that we will have a Girls Aloud night," he said.
After being pressed on the subject by the caller, he added: "How's this, if we are back next year, we'll have a Girls Aloud night."
When host Holly Willoughby asked if that was a promise, Cowell nodded in agreement.
The X Factor semi-final airs next Saturday at 8pm on ITV.

The show is still really popular but I think they're having less chance of making the winner a "star" out of it!

I am sick of how the show has acted as a vehicle to promote Cheryl's solo career. I guess bearing in mind that she is probably the least talented of the four girls - she needed that extra help. She certainly is not a talented singer - and I wouldn't have thought, personally, experienced enough to judge the singing ability of others. If the show returns next year - I hope she is not a part of it!

Yep simons defo just using her looks to promote the show, I personally think Dannii is by far the better judge but its unlikely she will return :(

I doubt Dannii will be back either, Simon doesn't seem to like her at all, She seems to be getting fed up of him to.

The X-Factor's primary goal is to draw ratings. Cheryl Cole, like it or not, draws ratings.
Cheryl Cole is gorgeous!
but...
Dannii is by far the better judge <3
