Truth is out (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8392611.stm)

Time for the scaremongers to admit that their frightening tactics are based on dodgy data

We await for the arrest and prosecution of that now disgraced professor Phil Jones for fraud.

remember in Roman times we were able to grow grapes up in Northumberland, and during the middle ages we had a hotter climate than we have today.

Interesting that you should post this because I'm after watching Fall of the Republic on Youtube and many people on it mentioned the lie that is manmade global warming and how it's just another tool they're using to control the masses.

My opinion is that nobody knows the truth. You don't need a reason to treat the planet well anyway. Can't wait to see ignorant hard man skeptics jump onto this. You know, the same sorts who are against vegetarianism with military style vehemence.

We know for a fact there are cycles and we are in the hot once which means we are getting closer to the sun so the Earth is getting hotter.
However, the Man is responsible for accelerating the whole heating process with all the gas etc...

You should watch the segment on this youtube documentary that I watched, when they talk about Al Gore, calling him one of the greatest con artists of the last 100 years or so.

"...according to Saudi Arabia's leading climate negotiator."

What exactly does he "negotiate"? Why lots and lots of oil sold at a high price (Saudi Arabia's oxygen) is so much better than any renewable energy source?

If you bear in mind how atrociously weather is reported on by our media (especially print) and how patchy and poor our recording of weather is here in the UK (one of the best worldwide) then as a weather enthusiast I take the whole thing with a pinch of road salt.

It doesnt really matter what the cause is, we should be conserving our resources and making an effort to cut pollution for health reasons anyway so it doesnt really matter what the truth is

Agreed. And the manipulation of the truth is something that we shouldn't accept but, in our apathy we more often than not do.

How are they?...I dont mean that argumentatively...I just see that large scale corporations are getting away with doing not a lot about global warming and its us that bear the brunt of it...but I dont see how they profit from it moneywise

I'll have a read later...I still think we should be saving the planet no matter what but the US especially and the corporate world needs to be doing their bit more, taxing ordinary folk for the amount of rubbish they have is out of order especially when everything you buy is in over the unecessary packaging in the first place!

Yeh seems like some people may have profited from it but on the whole I think global corporate companies, particularly the oil industry would prefer to discredit the theory of man made global warming and risk losing profit by going green. I stick by my original argument
