Simon puts stop to mad Lady Gaga performance

Simon has had to step in to stop an extreme performance by Lady GaGa this Sunday, according to reports. GaGa requested lambs and hundreds of butterflies on the stage as she performed Bad Romance, but Simon has vetoed the plan due to healthy and safety fears.


Instead of lambs, Lady GaGa will be joined on stage by semi-naked male dancers as she performs her new single.

An X Factor source told The Mirror: “Simon wanted her on the show because he knows she will put 110 per cent into the performance. She has never done anything mediocre since she hit the charts.


“She is always way out there with her costumes and dance routines. But not even he was prepared for what she had in mind.

“He thought the animals request was a joke but then realised it was Lady GaGa.

“Simon is an animal lover and wasn’t against having the lambs running around, but he said no because of health and safety.

“People are still going to be stunned.”

Lady GaGa and Janet Jackson will be performing on this Sunday’s results show which starts at the earlier time of 7:30PM.

She is a performer, not just a singer. Her image and stage show are all part of her act ... that's ... uh ... the idea. Everyone from Elvis right down to Marilyn Manson have used things that could have been considered 'gimmicks'. Should every performer on the planet just stand under a spotlight and work with their voice? No set, no costumes, no nothing? After all, that seems to be what you are suggesting. Music is about so much more than just voice. Look at Leona Lewis. Fantastic voice, yeah, but hardly a creative genius and she has the personality of a toilet seat.

i just think she disliked jonathon, she was on paul o grady a few days later and seemed like a normal person, (apart from the outfit) she even offered the kids the sweets which she'd requested

Ive got to admit i love all her songs but she is totally mental tbh, no doubt she'll turn up on the stage on sunday dressed in some sort of deformed costume its pretty hard to take her serious which is a shame cause shes got a really good voice and her music is brilliant.

To be fair to her though unlike most pop artists she does write her own stuff, plays instruments, has a good voice. Like someone else said the gimmicks are there to create a good visual show.
