Someones missed the point of the thread.

Depends on the style of music. You try a real drum kit with trance and see how it blends in. Good luck with that.

I couldn't agree more, Cascada and Basshunter are wastes of space. They're awful.

Yeah, it is a problem. Trance and most electronic music use synthesized drum loops. Some bands like The Prodigy might take a live drummer on tour with them, but studio wise it's almost always electronic drums for almost all electronic artists. That's just the way it is.

Seriously, I grew out of the ''if it's not acoustic instruments, it's not real music'' thing when I was like eleven. Electronic music takes skill and talent, and can be just as powerful as other forms of music. The only downfall is any twat like Basshunter can get his hands on the tools and use them to make cheap, easy music.
