Is it really that bad to be a hypocrite?

I know it sounds like a daft question, but is it? I mean look I hate people who snore, but I probably do it, and I hate racist people but I'm prone to the odd joke now and then. I hate people who make fun of others but I'm one of the worst people I know for doing it.

So what I'm saying is, is it really an insult to be a hypocrite, IMO it isn't really.

You are a **** really if you blame someone for their actions but then you do exactly the same thing. Suppose we live in an unfair society.

Best example to use on this forum is Big Brother. Every housemate bitches about other people. For some they're vilified, but those who call them have their faves. Their faves probably do the same, but somehow its funny or its part of who they are etc.

And a lot of people bang on about how you can't be racist or homophobic or whatever, but they'll laugh at disabilities and call people based on class.

Maybe EVERYONE is a little bit of a hypocrite. Who knows? But being a hypocrite is probably similar to being a bullshitter!

Well I reckon I'm pretty bad, I hate any sort of prejudice, but between friends I always make really awful jokes about minorities LOL. Or I would bash someone like Britney Spears, for not being a real artist, but happily praise Heidi Montag's music. I think as long as you recognise it's bad and hypocritical, it's ok.

Yeah we are all hypocrites to certain levels, like you said with racism, I cant stand racists, see no point of it at all, but I sometimes find jokes on it funny, I might not agree with it but I still laugh and thats being a hypocrite.

But I cant stand big hypocrite who dictate to people and then do whatever they were dictating about.
