Do you think Pesci is underrated? I know he won an Oscar and that, but I think he's great.
Also Ray Liotta, I think he was cast badly in his more recent films
setanta

Yep, I really like Liotta. Peck was excellent too.
Mark Heap. He played the hilarious Dr. Alan Statham in Green Wing.

Thirded on Spader. He was a revelation in Sex, Lies and Videotape (no pun intended), but has sadly been long since consigned to bad sci-fi movies and semi-successful TV shows. He deserved far better.

Claire Danes - she's hugely underrated..
Leonardo DiCaprio - he's popular and everything, but I don't think a lot of people get how talented he is as an actor... his popularity has more to do with his status as a sex symbol in my opinion.

Yep, he's great in films like Man In The Iron Mask and What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
I'm glad he shook off the pretty boy image with films like The Departed and Gangs of New York. Got to give The Aviator a rewatched, I liked it but it's sooo long lol
lily.
29-12-2009, 04:49 PM
He's hotter than he's ever been in The Departed... it's ironic that it's been the one people think of when they talk about him shaking off the pretty-boy tag haha.
I just had a read thru the thread, and seen that Wildcat said pretty much the same as me about DiCaprio... he also mentioned Matt Dillon. His role in Crash was amazing.
Enid - Gary Oldman. I totally agree with that. He's amazing.
James (setanta) - Nick Nolte. He's another good choice.
Gary - Rachel McAdams. She is very versatile and doesn't get the recognition she deserves to be honest.
Ben - I agree about Wahlberg. He's overlooked a lot too. I disagree about Paul Walker. Even though he's one of my favourites... I love all the Fast/Furious movies (except Tokyo Shite)... and, I love him.. he's ridiculously hot.. but he's a **** actor to be honest.. lol
Another I'd add to the list is John Malkovich. He's epic.

Because although she normally plays the sexy slag in all these 'pisstake' movies, she is actually a very good actress.
