The Open Door is one of my favourite albums of all time, and they're probably my second fave band of all time.

I adore them, both albums are extremely solid, with haunting lyrics and phenominal vocals over powerful instrumentation. I've got a lot of their old stuff too, from before they were signed, old EPs + demos + origin and they've grown so much as a band.

They still exist, Amy's undecided as to whether she wants to attempt some solo stuff (like Sally's Song) but they're reportedly working on their third album.

I'll admit she has a great voice and that, and she pulls the look off well. But alot of their songs sound the same, wonder if they will go for a totally different sound.

The song just means so much to me at the moment both lyrically and musically. It matches my feelings and emotions perfectly.

Hopefully I will have a new song for 2010..... this one can't go on forever.

Plenty of better bands out there doing the symphonic metal thing far better for far longer.

I reccomend checking out Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation and Nightwish.

They are an incredible band.
Amy Lee is amazing.

However I don't like the fact and all their videos center around her, I wish they'd show all the band members properly, as they helped create the songs.
