Why do certain men prefer blondes?

Now I don't want to get into the argument about how many men actually prefer blonde women, that wasn't the point of this thread. I've always wondered why blondes have much more sex appeal, so fellas, enlighten me. What is the reason for this?

I don't have a particular preference although I usually go for darker haired girls probably because I'm fair haired myself and enjoy the contrast. But no, it doesn't bother me really.

This. Blondes are the stereotypical image of 'sexy' for a woman and they seem to appeal most to the stereotypical image of what a 'lads lad' should be.

Yeah, I think when guys think of a typical pornstar/model etc they think of a blonde haired, big titted woman. Just like how a woman would think of a guy with huge muscles and a six pack. I think media influences things a lot.

Well I mainly go by personality, I like the more fun outgoing girl, as Im quite reserved at times, so they bring out a lot of fun in me, but at the same time I quite like the shy girl because theyre cute :)

I think that stems from other things tbh, obviously blondes will get more male attention so will be more confident

Oh no, hair colour doesnt affect if your outgoing and fun, I just prefer it as a colour, I guess it just stands out more to me. But yes, many blondes are airheads :joker:

My mum has purple hair, and I think that looks groovy, so Im not saying I like blonde hair and no other colour, I like any, ginger probably my least favourite though (sorry if you are ginger). :)

Pretty much ... brunettes tend to be the safer option, ie they aren't stereotyped as slags, so less likely to go behind your back (apparently), and won't get as much male attention

I wouldn't say I prefer them, but I think I must do on some level. Every one of my girlfriends has been a blonde, including my current GF.
