'Barrth', because I have a Southern accent.
It's exactly the same the other way round though, I could say 'bahth' is common, and that when you say 'up' you say 'oohp', whereas we say 'uhp'. The letter 'u' is 'uh' not 'ooh'.

I'm northern and say 'uhp'
I'm northern and say 'uhp'
Yeah, I'm Scottish and we say bath, glass, grass but also up, not "oop" etc. I think it sounds weird and wrong when I hear barth, grarse, glarse and so on, but I'd imagine it's the same for people who say it that way and hear my way.

I say Bath, Glass, Grass. I've never heard ANYONE around here pronounce it the posh way, It's more to do with the accent liek someone said above though.

bath, as it the way it should be pronounced. and i also say pizza and not pizzar, and iron and not ion
the list is endless, southern English peeps have awful accents, save Essex which is pukka

I dont actually know of anyone that says Iron and not ion lol
don't see what the pizzar one is about either??
It is nothing to do with being posh or not, it is all about accents. I say bath because I am northern, my flat mates who live at the very bottom of the country all say 'Barth', but I don't think they are posh, maybe well spoken... but I am well spoken and I don't say it.

I say Barth and not Bath but I say glass and not glarse, grass and not grarse.
Who the hell says iRon and not Ion? Never known that before!
And I don't know anyone that says pizaaaaaah - that's just sillyness!
Don't think it's so much about being posh either,it's more a regional accent thing!
