Thanks Di that's amazing news, if anyone finds out what housemates are there please let us know. Also quick question why does it say No Tickets required and then underneath that it say's 'For tickets call 020 7851 2400', are tickets needed or not?

The copy I ordered finally arrived today. The style of it is very different to the previous books they've done for the series - there are pictures throughout and less text.
Some fairly interesting interviews with the housemates and other people involved in the show. Also there's a really strong smell off the book!
The DVD you get with the book contains three of the Diary Room Uncut episodes so nothing new there.

Yes, it is supposed to be in the shops - WH Smiths will order it for you if they don't have it on the shelves.
I got it from play.com - I've also pre-ordered the Lost region 1 box-set from them - don't want to wait a week to see new episodes.

It's region 2. Region 1 is America & Canada. The Lost box set isn't available until October 31st, after which time all of the episodes included will have been shown.

Play.com also sell Region 1 DVDs though. The Region 1 boxset comes out tomorrow - it's the whole series.
Might have been playusa I ordered it from, come to think of it.

I only replied as after reading your post here, I rushed straight over to Play.com, expecting to see the whole series available right now (stranger things have happened, after all). Still, I'll be buying it as soon as it's released (UK) anyway.
By the way - I'm presuming that you've got a multi-region dvd player, James? As I've yet to try any region 1 dvds on mine, do you still need to have a tv set that can accept NTSC as well as PAL to watch them?
James

I believe almost all DVD players sold in the UK output (with NTSC discs) a signal that most modern TVs can show - it depends on the player. I watch DVDs on my computer usually though.
To find info about making your DVD player region-free do a Google search for "region free" +the DVD model number.

From what I've read online, you'd need either a dvd player or tv that had an NTSC to PAL converter built in, or a conversion box connected between the two. Otherwise, you'd get a poor quality and very likely black & white picture on your screen, as well as probable image distortion and frame rate inaccuracies. A few sites claim that NTSC discs will play fine (providing the dvd player will accept the region in question) on a PAL system, and that tv sets built in the last 8 to 10 years will have no problems. I don't trust that theory very much at all, though.
Yeah, watching on the pc would solve the problem. But (in my case) why watch a film on a 17'' screen with stereo sound when you've got a 28'' widescreen with Dolby 5:1 on the other side of the room? You could also use a fly-lead from your pc that converted the VGA to PAL, but you'd lose quality and would still have to use a software player, rather than the real thing.
