The man who attacked self-proclaimed "guidette" Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi has been identified.
According to the New York Post, gym teacher Brad Ferro was arrested in late August for punching Polizzi at The Beachcombers Bar & Grill - an incident that will appear in an episode of MTV's Jersey Shore.
The show, which has come under fire from the Italian-American community for its use of stereotypes, follows self-declared "guidos" and "guidettes" from New Jersey as they party in the Big Apple.
Seaside Heights detective Steve Korman said that Ferro was told by bouncers to cut back on his drinking because he seemed "too drunk", but it is thought that he managed to remain inside the bar before stealing Polizzi's alcohol.
"That started a verbal altercation after which he struck her in the face. She sustained an injury to the inside of her mouth due to the punch," Korman concluded.
