Is there any way back for this scurrilous weak man?
What should he do now and why did he do it?

slightly different circumstances here. he showed utter contempt for his wife/marriage by texting, for example, women as his wife slept next to him.

Terrible excuse. Men might cheat at times. But they don't have affairs with eight different lovers over a long period of time (or how many is it now? I've lost count). It's obvious Tiger has been leading a double life.

Yes, and so can his wife if she decides to divorce him and claim the majority of his wealth. Happy days.

But you did it in a very defensive and abrupt manner, that's all, which wasn't really necessary. And I'm not wrong about sponsors pulling out and I think we'll see in time that quite a few other might do the same. As for the prenup, well we'll see if it holds out.

But apparently he's cheated with a number of women and more are coming out of the woodwork. It's just crazy when you consider the man we're talking about here, who was heralded as a great athlete and an ambassador for his sport, you know? Nobody saw this one coming at all.

Thas the answer I give to anyone trying to tear down some superstar.
Can you not love them because of who they are, and love them only for the entertainment side of them. BEcause, I dont know about you, but my only role models, are people that I know. Superstars, have to maintain an image, so most of them claim, and show a squeeky clean image. But its just wrong to hold them to that standard.
I couldnt care less about Tiger Woods personal life and his marital issues. I only care about his golf skills.
I feel the same when people criticize Jenson Button, or any other athlete, for anything outside of their athletic accomplishements.

your example is invalid
Tigers "career" is not just the game of golf as he is pro tour golfer and his image and character are integral to his success package. The game of golf has incredibly high standards in terms of "playing the game" - there is a lot of honour involved etc
To be caught cheating a tiny bit (ie fractionally touching the sand with your club in a bunker and not mentioning it) can utterly ruin a career full stop, and has.
Now Tiger has not cheated in golf but he has done the bext worse thing and that is your family (in golf terms).
he will never recover. dont forget tiger is a grumpy unhappy player but people forgave him because he was untouchable. this has now ended and he will have to now deal with the wrath.

So you think the No.1 ranked golfer in the world, no longer has a career playing Golf because of his personal life? I think not.
