Anyone seen it? Someone told me it tries way too hard to be Indie, but it has a really good rating on IMDB. Think it was out earlier this year.

It wasn't that indie,I liked it,it wasn't like the usual rom-coms,although I prefer the usual rom-coms :P

Well yeah,I think there was a point to that though,cos that's how the couple started talking,cos they both loved The Smiths.

Going for the Indie cred there then lol The Smiths have become the cool band to like in the USA OZ and NZ, Morrissey has success in America on his own. But mention The Smiths, and the Indie kids go wild.

I LOVED this film!! It was quite different, a bit quirky and used various dramatic techniques.

Maybe it's worth a dabble, I just hate American Indie kids though, worse than English Indie kids!!!!

I like it, there are some really good parts in it. The sound track is very good. Dispite you encouraging me to listen to the Smiths Joe, I haven't had a chance to, but there are two Smiths songs on the soundtrack and I think they're great!

I thought of you when I was watching the films because of your love of the Smiths, I'm sure you'll like the film.

It's really good - Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (hope I got that right..) are amazing actors, plus I love its soundtrack. It's not trying too hard to be indie and it's a cute little film. :)

Claudia, The Smiths are the greatest band ever. And Morriessy is the most literate man to ever write music, you will love his lyrics.

I REALLY loved this film, it's quirky, I wouldn't say it's trying to be indie either, and like Claudia said, it's got a fab soundtrack.

Zooey Deschanel is brilliant in it, and she's quite the hottie too Joe ;)

Zooey Deschannel is absolutely amazing in it, though her character is utterly infuriating. I can definitely see where it tries to be indie, but it doesn't spoil the movie. Overall I enjoyed it but it's tainted because the ending left me feeling a bit numb.

Oh I agree. Her character is SO annoying but Zooey is fantastic. It's a brilliant movie.

Depends on the one you click on....loadsa options there and some are faster than other. Quality varies hugely too.

I just watched it. Loved it so much, was so quirky and vibrant. Perfect apart from the ending. Very bittersweet. I wanted them two to end up together.
