I don't really want the BH to go really but I do hope this thread stays open as long as it remains as a debate. I'm still for a compromise though, maybe we can get a mod to look after it? That way the thread can stay open and it'll eliminate people's worries of abuse or clique-ish behavior? I don't know, I just hope we can all reach a place on the debate that suits everyone.

What favouritism ? There isn't. The mods do their job fair and square. I never crossed the line except for last night so don't jump on it. And the BH was created way way after I joined so if the mods wanted to ban me, they could have done it a lot before.

If something has to change then the idea of keeping it a social group is a good one, that way it's not on the main board and the BH get to keep it albeit in a different form although I think it could remain a normal topic. Maybe we should have a Mod look over the BH to keep it on the straight and narrow in case some issues do arise?

I do get annoyed when people start resorting to the use of the word 'hate'! I don't hate the Brotherhood or anyone on here - I don't know anyone on here anywhere near well enough to hate them.
But I do dislike certain comments and types of behaviour. That is what I give my opinions on. Attempting to 'label' opposing comments as hate - is just another attempt at undermining their arguments! Usually done - when losing the argument!

Seriously, it's just boring for the rest of us. You associate TiBB with The Brotherhood now. Everytime you log in the obvious attempts at constently trying to keep the BH topic at the top of the page hardly helps.
TiBB to me now looks like a few decent members I enjoy talking to, a whole slew of annoying newbs, and ~THE KNIGHTS OF THE BROTHERHOOD.
It's not causing cancer or global warming, but it is making things really boring and tedious at it's most basic level for the rest of us.

So in that respect I don't see them being bad. However its the ego's involved and the complete contrast in the personalities of the people within each 'clique'.

That's another thing. The Brotherhood is so big now they form what ... a third of all the members who are really active on here? If anyone disagrees with them now due to the groups size it's seen as a 'rivalry' when in reality it's just people who ... don't ... like the brotherhood being there.
Also to people saying you may as well delete all the other social groups and cliques : That's ... kind of the point. It's not 'just another' group. Like it or not some people don't treat the brotherhood as just that.

I wouldn't make assumptions about me. I am completely neutral on this site and I favour neither the BH or Zeta or The Den or whatever there is. I just see, as I previously stated, that the BH and Zeta cliques DO keep people coming back to the site. And within both groups everybody is friends, without these groups people are likely to leave the site.
I wouldn't ban either group and I would assume that the other super-mods and admins wouldn't either because it would completely ruin the way that this site functions. If people are seriously peeved by the other group then may I suggest not talking to them or trying to sort out some sort of middle that you could all come to?

I have never described myself as super anything! Just shows how you have a tendency to exaggerate in an attempt to win an argument. What I actually said was those members who were 'stronger' (able to stand their ground in an argument with several members from the brotherhood) - how does that equate to super-member! You are definitely not trying to bring peace - as evidenced by the use of such incorrect, and emotive comments!

If that were to happen. We would have to create a thread for EVERYBODY in it to discuss. This would involve closing the den as well in order to get everybody together, a fresh start. No one would agree to that.

I have a good idea (good we find out)
We could have a trial period of the BH thread being locked say 48 hours and see what TiBB is like then. Make it longer if need be. Then we can see if the Anti - BH posts meen anything in that sence of the BH taking over TiBB?
What do you think.
Thread lockage is not what people want.
People want it to be a social thread, not a group.

What I actually said was those members who were 'stronger' (able to stand their ground in an argument with several members from the brotherhood) - how does that equate to super-member! I don't think it needs to be closed off really, At most it needs a little bit more mod attention to dissolve some of the tensions between members but that's it really. There's no need to get rid of it but considering the list of people against it the most diplomatic thing would be to look at the BH and see how we can amend it, the situation can easily be sorted out with all parties satisfied.

Well this has been nearly an hour long read.
I'm with Stu on this one. I'm all for the thread staying, however it's the stupid 'Brotherhood Knight's and bullshit terms like that that I can't stand. Also, as Stu mentioned, the way in which some of the members will follow each other round the forum agreeing with each others posts just so they can stick the phrase 'Sir ____' in. Sometimes even when they don't agree. That's what annoys me.
The problem is lili you can't speak on behalf of everybody. I reckon the BH would be pretty peeved as would the usual's in The Den.

why do members keep comparing the den to the brotherhood, they have about the same popularity but the similarity ends there. the den is just a thread where people can talk to each other without sticking to one subject. the only rules are the ones set by the admins.

I've said it before but instead of radical action just get a mod to keep an eye out for trouble in the thread, get someone like Vicky who doesn't post as much on the main boards but it neutral do it or something. Then there's no bias and everyone's happy.

Im not joining because at the end of the day its just a bit of fun, I know some of the bh like a bit of trouble, and Ive given it a few times, but yeah we sort of get on when you settle differences, except PJ he hates me :laugh:. But you cant ban the whole of bh it wouldnt be fair on all the members who are fine within it.

To be honest, it doesn't and hasn't bothered me too much. The members keep their BHness in the thread and I've never felt inferior compared to them.

Some agreement towards compromise was made.. The thread would stay, but the userbars and the memberlist would go, making it a social thread.
Since then, the BH has backtracked, and Andy has decided the following:
Think i'll leave it for the Mods to sort out if they feel the need to change anything then i'll let them
Am not to arsed about the userbars didn't think anyone still used them, as far as the list is concerned after the BH awards the award winners will be on the first page

If The Lounge is back then there is no need for all this stuff around the BH. I'd gladly post in The Lounge too.
The Lounge couldn't be any more neutral.
As for Andy, we know what the mods will decide.
