Just want to ask a quick question. Apparently quite a few of the old members got banned from TIBB, for example Hannah! However she did come back the other day and that..

Anyway I thought being banned only lasts a week at the most if you are really naughty? but what is the longest ban someone has ever got?? please?

If it is not too nosy - why did Hannah get banned? Can't imagine why!

Magic has been banned since may? And he was good. Some have been banned and never been allowed to come back.

It's kinda messy.

Bans can be permanent but in the cases of Hannah and Lili the permabans were lifted.

Jesus!!!! However there is more than one computer in the house I live in.. so if I got banned I could easily make up another username? yes? because different computers. different codes.. etc..

Magic has been banned since may? And he was good. Some have been banned and never been allowed to come back.

NEVER allowed to come back? that would be bloody awful. I am a good person really but I have had the odd one or 2 warnings..

Different computer, same IP.

It's only if you have a different connection, it's different.

But, yeah, you can use proxies etc. I did that for a while.

Woah, I suppose it depends how many warnings you've had and what you did to be banned. I've never been banned, but at another forum I've been banned about 12 times over including 3 permanent bans which have all been lifted. XD

I'm surprised I've never got a warning really, especially considering some of the insults I've dished out. I had Banner rights taken away from me for a few months but that was for the Bring Back Hannah Campaign.

i was banned for 2 days!
but then thanks to everyone being so kind i was able to come back..
my reason for being banned was so silly too!
it was because I use the same computer as my brother and an admin thought we were the same person or something -- but members who knew us individually knew we were different so it was OK :P
hehe it was sad though!
i just logged on one day and it said I was banned :(

It lasts longer every time someone reaches a certain amount of warnings. Permanent bans can be removed. hence the really long bans

It was because the mods have a habit of banning some people for much less than others so me and lili went on some mad rampage in the Suggestions forum :joker:

Didn't let it drop, so when I returned from first banning I started again :tongue:

I remember my 4 day ban over my (alleged) involvement in "nodisgate". I had another couple also. Sunny used to ban me willy nilly by accident (or so she said)! Apparently "her finger slipped" a couple of times. Lol. Basically your first warning lasted 24 hours. Second was 48 hours. Third was 7 days. I assume it is still the same.

The longest I have been banned was a week.

They give you warnings.

The first is a 24hr Ban.
And then a Week.

My last ban was ages ago..
I can remember when it was, it was the week Karly was evicted from BB10.

But you can be banned for life.

Obey the rules and you don't get banned

As simple as that.

As a moderator on another forum I have lost count of the number of posters I have banned :devil:

However most of them were spammers.

Am not sure if I was banned, but right back at the beginning of TIBB, I was accused of hacking TIBB, because it was hacked and I used to work as a programmer. However I had to point out professionally I used COBOL which was not what the hacker whoever they were must have used. Somewhere in the archives there is a reference to this.

This was a case of mistaken identity and not of rule breaking.
