New Moderators needed for CBB

Hi all,

Since some of our mods are inactive at the moment and CBB is just around the corner, James and I have decided to get a few more on board to help out on the forum.

Anyone* can apply by sending me a PM letting me know that you'd like to help out over CBB, and why you'd like to be a moderator. Things we are looking for are activity, friendliness, and ability to remain neutral in certain topics. You don't need to have moderated on another forum to apply, but it might help (especially if you've used VB before!). Your reasons for applying should be because you have some spare time over CBB and want to help keep the board in shape. If you're just looking to get revenge on posters you don't like by moderating their posts, that's not really what we want. :cat:

I'm not sure how many mods we are looking for. There are 3-4 inactive mods at the moment, who if aren't returning for CBB will need to be replaced. So if you feel like you could contribute to the running of the board, just send me a PM and let me know how you think you could be of use! :spin:

Once I've recieved all the applications, I'll let you know on the 29th December hopefully on who we've decided.

tibb's problem is that it needs active mods and the only active people seem to be on sides (brotherhood, zeta, den etc) so it would probably make them biased.

I think the ideal mod we need is an older but not too old, cool, down to earth, unbiased guy who wont moderate too strictly and would rather lock an embarrasing fail of a thread than an argument that's actually pretty funny.

InOne would be great. And even though he is on the BH I think Andyman could be a decent mod. We need someone on our side, a real members mod, not a mod who never listens to what his people want and seems to be behind a glass wall of superiority.

No offence to anyone but overzealous posters shouldn't get the position because it leads to the threat of an overzealous mod. These influx of TiBB posters over the past few months who would rather make twelve pointless, punctuation robbed posts a minuet than value quality over quantity.

Hiya,

There are 3 new moderators for TiBB. They are, Princess (Laura), Zee (Greg), and Darenn.

It's taken a few days longer than we expected because over 20 people applied, and it was hard to wittle everyone down. As you know, a lot of the current moderators are inactive. If they aren't back in the next few days for CBB, then we will see the situation and might take on another 2-3 to replace them. (Ex-moderators can always become a moderator again at any time, so if they get dropped its just temporarily until they have some time to spare!). So I'll let you know the situation in the next few days.

I hope you're happy with our choices, it was hard to pick 3 when there were a lot of people who I'm sure would do the job well.

Enjoy the CBB launch, and we'll re-evaluate the mod numbers in the next day or two.
