View Full Version : London & Manchester help!
London people out there, I seek advice. I wanna go London and hopefully stay over night, experience London. I've been before but never stayed overnight and had to get the dreaded train home etc. Where's nice, that's near the city center like walking distance... a nice bnd is fine or a Premier Inn will do, just somewhere to stay overnight. Also any recommendations of places to go will be greatly appreciated!
Same applies for Manchester people - I'm undecided which place to go!

Check by London Euston station it seemed pretty nice around there when I went, there was a hotel just down the road from the train station there aswell.

Kensington,Kingston,Primrose Hill(nice view lol),Convent Garden,Oxford Street(duh),Chinatown,Camden, you ever been on the London Eye? That's fun. I like to stay in Ramada's when I'm on tour,I think they're reasonable enough but I'm not really sure,I don't tend to pay much attention, lol!

there so much cool stuff to do if its your thing the tate is fab, def go oxford street and leicester square
get a travel card then you can hop on and off the tube and buses as much as you like to get you around
dunno about where to stay but if you want really cheap and its only one night hostel type places are fab norm around a tenner use somewhere like kings cross or near victoria for your base as those are the big train stations

If you don't mind a hostel - I stayed in the International Student House Hostel on Great Portland Street, and we no complaints at all. It was like 3 mins walk from Warren Street station aswell so it was easy to get to and from.
Theres about 80 hotels in Manchester City Centre
I think there are 2 Travelodges and a Premier Inn like next door to each other a minute walk away from the Arndale and practically next door to each other
