My parents.
I can't idolize people I don't know on a daily basis. To me, my parents have done quite an achievement to have a great life now. In the big lines, my dad immigrated from Russia in the 60's without speaking a single word of French. He worked his ass off to go to Uni, and never had proper holidays until his 25. He then became a trader in Paris' Stock Exchange and is now a Financial analyst for HSBC and travels around Europe all the time.
My mum got from Italy in the 60's too. But she learnt French at school yet she wasn't rich at all. She had some family over there so it was easier for her to make her way. She went to Nursery school and is now Nurse in charge in the Hospital she works in.
So yeah, my parents are my role models, not some crappy celebrities or someone I don't know.

It is a good post - you clearly respect your parents and their achievements. You didn't say some reality contestant. In my book, you have your priorities right. It is about what you say, not who you are - always is for me.

I can get why some people would say someone else but their parents because we don't have the same life or relationship with our parents and our close family. But to me, the biggest achievements are generally the ones that are about family and self-esteem. I'd idolize a single mum with 5 kids whose husband left and has to work her ass off to offer a decent Christmas to her kids, without complaining. That is someone respectable.
In my personal opinion, to things that matter to me and have shaped my life... is a man called Constantin Stanislavski. Who spent his whole life so people like me could explore and experiment with the art of acting.

Rosa Parks.
I like your style.
Malcolm X.
Barack is cool too, even though hes a puppet and they are just using the fact hes HALF black to blind us from the fact he wont change ****, hes controlled by the same people that controlled bush and they are making the transaction to a one world government, Barack is easing us into that. But yeah, i ****s with him just because of how he made us feel like we can achieve anything.
Oh, Uncle Murda too, just cah he loves to kill police haha.

Winston Churchill.
The reason why I personally didin't say my parents was because they are an obvious one for me, so they don't need mentioning. All about preference, I guess. Martin Gore's song's on the other hand have shaped my life in a very real way and his band are the reason I'm giving music a shot so from a personal standpoint he is el numero uno.
But yeah, reality show contestants take the piss.
