when the CBB7 Launch is on.

It starts on a Sunday, which is probably the best day they could do for a launch, but what is on the other channels? Has it got strong competition?

You just need to create public interest.

A lot of fans have stepped up to help generate a big hype. People have set BB pictures as their display pictures on facebook, been mentioning it on Twitter to get it in the "Trending Topics", and generally just been talking about it alot.

You wish. Wallandar and Poirot are two quality programmes which will get a combined audience of at least 10m.

Elvis Presley is a legend and I have that Aloha DVD, it's absolutely fantastic. That will get a good audience on BBC2.

Big Brother, on the other hand, is a tired old show with a dwindling fanbase due to poor decisions made by producers and Channel 4 over the course of the last 3 years. The launch on Sunday night will be the least popular for a CBB ever.

There is no hype or massive anticipation for this series like previous ones. It will end up a failure.

Has that been happening? If so then it is a very good way of spreading Word of mouth.

I wouldn't say its tough competition, its not like when Big Brother went up against The Apprentice but its fair competition. Both shows aimed at an older audience, whilst CBB attracts a slightly older audience than the summer version.

It won't win its slot but it will do fairly well

First I've heard of it lol

On Bebo aswell and Youtube BB seems to be getting alot of hype.
I have a BB Group and the members have went up on it, and people have been making more groups for CBB.
And on Youtube, when they show videos being watched right now, CBB Trailer was on it.
And my page is 41 most viewed in the UK for uploading BB UK stuff.

I wouldn't bank on it, CBB1 launched with about 4.5m

Wallander is a first class detective series based on the Sweden adaption with the same name. It's a wonderful, enthralling drama series which has had three episodes already in 2008 and a further 3 is due next year.

The show is a gem. It simply is top quality TV which will get over 5m viewers. Big Brother on the other hand is seen as trash TV. BB has no chance whatsoever of beating Wallander.

I don't think CBB7 launch will even get 4m when the overnights are released.

Are you going to be watching Wallander then?

There doesnt seem to be any major competition and to be honest thew celebrity series never really usually does, its the summer series that tends to have the competition, so in theory if people are interested it shoud do ok.

Why not? The BB10 launch recovered well after the BB10 slump and with the new ad campaign, the new house and the new press interest whos to say CBB7 launch won't recover from the BB10 slump?

I think in general though it will rate somewhere inbetween CBB6 and BB10. I think it will launch with 4.6m

I am going to be watching Celebrity Big Brother live, with Wallander on my Sky+ box. I usually never miss BB launches so that's why Wallander will be recorded.

I suppose what you say may happen. But I think some viewers have decided that enough is enough, and won't return to watching BB. I think all things considered, 4.7m would be a good rating for CBB launch.

But I'm not expecting anything higher than 4m.
