This has absolutely blown up over night. It's a Facebook/fan forum campaign to get Untouchable into the top 10 once the date's been decided. A few days ago it was virtually just on Girls Aloud Media, but now it's getting exposure on websites and even Nadine herself has shown support on Twitter.

Join pls!

Because Top 10 records are Untouchable

On May 3rd 2009 Girls Aloud’s 21st single, ‘Untouchable’ became the first to miss the UK top ten upon its official release, breaking a string of consecutive hits that ran back to their debut single Sound Of The Underground in 2002.

With its dazzling sci-fi inspired video, the most expensive produced by the band, and with many fans judging it not only one of the best songs of their Out Of Control album, but of their career as a whole, many were disappointed at the track stalling at number 11 in the charts.

The objective is to get Untouchable back in the top 10. But for that, we need your help.

To do this, we are going to choose a specific week when we will proceed to download the song and/or its remixes from any download site that counts towards the chart.

Girls Aloud's Nadine Coyle herself has shown her support of the campaign on popular social networking site Twitter:

'Some very kind friends have an idea.. Go to http://www.tinyurl.com/untouchabletop10 what a supportive group we have!! Your the best!!'

http://twitter.com/NadineWorldwide/status/7310844515

Help make Untouchable top 10 in 2010!

It's arguably their best track to date. I was surprised myself when it didn't chart higher. So yeah, I think I'll join.

Why couldn't they have picked this track instead of the RATM one? Am I not the only one who thinks it would've been hilarious to see Joe beaten by his own mentor? :joker:

And at least it's a decent song, too.

lets not. Out Of Control was a terrible album it was only a matter of time before they stopped getting lucky.

They're being pretty smart about it too. Setting up a paypal for international fans to donate and downloads will be made on their behalf.

GA have some pretty dedicated fans!

It's not lucky though. They have had 21 brilliant singles. Music critics and many fans rave about them because they have such strong singles.

Untouchable being one of the best, should of been #1, nevermind making the top 10!

What I meant by the lucky comment was that all they do are produce 4 good songs release them as singles and them put them on a album of fillers. Tangled Up is the only album of theirs that had decent album tracks. In my opinion of course. But yes their singles are always relatively strong, but I do think Untouchable is probably one of their weakest.

I understand why this is being done, but since RATM did their little thing the whole facebook group to get something in the charts is getting stupid. Everyone is doing it, soon the charts will just be full of old songs because someone has died or something... like the 10 trillion groups that were created when The Rev from Avenged Sevenfold died, I just ignore all these kind of groups now.

GhettoSuperstar

Fair enough. You might think their albums are fillers but I will strongly disagree. Veryyy strongly disagree. :)

Love this song but the campaign can **** right off. If #11 is seen as a failure now then the whole facebook-group shite can piss off. If anyone's going to hold this record, it sure as Hell shouldn't be Girls ****ing Aloud, however much I like them.

:joker::joker:

That would of been so funny, Imagine Cheryls face she wouldnt know what to say to him :joker:
Seriously out of all the good songs they could of picked for Xmas Number 1 they picked that ****, it wasnt thought of properly if you asked me they didnt go through all the good songs they could of picked.
------
Anyway,
This isnt for a cause its stupid.
I wont be downloading it but I hope it does well as I love seeing songs on the charts that were out long ago but popped into the charts because of the Internet groups lol... apart from RATM

This isnt there best song its really **** if you ask me,
The Promise, Sound of the Underground, Girl Overboard were far better songs than this.

As much as I hate to say it.. We are going to need more than 3000 members in that group to even get them into the top 40.. let alone the top 10

Takes a moron to judge a group of people based off the type of music they play, kid.

Anyway this campaign can smoke my cock. First people have the attitude that Joe is entitled to the #1 spot, now we are kicking up a fuss because Girl's Aloud failed to crack the top ten? No, really?

As for the song, it's my favourite Girl's Aloud song. I absoloutely love the trancey vibe and Nadine's vocal towards the end is genuinly stirring.

They think because Rage did it, they can do it too. Doesn't quite work like that, I'm afraid.

Stu

Never underestimate what a group of people with a broadband hookup can do but if this tanks after Rage's success it will be a double lolz for me.

This is one campaign I can get behind. Girls Aloud are the best thing to ever come out of music-reality TV in the United Kingdom, hands down, it was an incredible record run they had until this; the fact it JUST missed out on the top 10 is why I can get behind it; had it only got to say #15 then I'd be happy to just let it die, but I don't see why not. It's only a matter of time before the online campaigning gets oversaturated and people stop getting behind them, so why not give this one a go before that happens? I hope they do it, I'll buy it, it's a good song.
