Mod, please tell arista to stop labelling people as "Bible freaks". That's really inappropriate and rude.

I don't go around calling non-Christians names. I don't have a problem if people have an anti-Christian agenda, but name calling is taking too far!

Exactly. I don't get all the prejudice against it; people are allowed to believe in whatever they feel is right and not be judged and looked down on.

Again, religion is full of judgement. Plenty of people are made to feel judged by religion and what the bible says. Who cares if the shoe is on the other foot? Sure, I wouldn't repeatedly call them 'Bible Freaks' but they should be absoloutely entitled to be up for judgement like the rest of us.

It's human to judge people. Without it we loose our natural sense of selection. It's also part of our freedom of speech.

I can't stand his smug born-again christian bullcrap.

Why say grace at a table of people who aren't religious? If you wanna thank God for your peas and mash then go ahead, but don't force the whole house to listen to it.

I'd love if everyone did a quick recall of all the annoying, loud, obnoxious, disagreeable behavior seen in the BB House over the years.

Just from the top of my head
- endless numbers who can't wait to sit down at the table to belch and fart as loud and as often as possible.
and
- lost count of how many would sit down to eat and promptly start fights. yelling, screaming fights, vindictive bulling, ganging up on another to humiliate them and even pushing for physical fights.
or,
- are drunk, slobbering, sick, blabbering senselessly, digging into others plates, tits and bits falling out,
or,
- show up at the table to rant and rave their opinions about politics or wars or racism or gay rights or whatever is their 'cause' and have no problem preaching it away at the table...

...the list of bad behavior would be astonishing and repulsive if we ever actually went through them all,
and,
none of us would allow it near us.

AND YET...

... The one thing being declared 'too much'?
The one thing that is now getting its own topics its so offensive?
The one thing that has already got some asking to be stopped by BB?

Balwins annoying Grace. Where he claims to be thankful for the food and prays for blessings on the meal. He got everyone to say Grace... errr... no he FORCED them to do it!
HOW DARE!?

Really?
That is the one thing that is 'too much' now?
That is what really bothers us now?

Maybe its a slippery slope?
Then next thing we know this dangerous character might spend 35 minutes 'preaching' about love and forgiveness and second chances in life!!!!
FORCING 4 of them to listen to him!?

I mean honestly.. THIS is what offends people, of all things?
Wow.

See the thing is sweetie, we watch Big Brother for those things you listed. It makes for entertainment. Watching somebody pray does not make for good entertainment.

It's entirely reasonable to see people getting annoyed about it. It's our right as viewers to bitch about what we don't like.

Bang on the money I reckon.

I'm praying [lol] for a full scale David Koresh style messianic complex to build up in the house.

It's in the nature of the God Squad to recruit and preach everywhere they go and although I am saddened that this year's CBB appears to involve hardly any celebrities, at least Baldwin has actually read a book. If I was in there, however, I would attempt to shove his bloody bible where the sun don't shine.

If the other HM's had a problem with it, they'd say something. It doesn't effect them in anyway apart from the fact that they don't get to eat for another 20 seconds, but I'm sure they'll live.

Why should he not be able to carry on his religious beliefs in the house just as he would on the outisde?

Just the way he goes about it really, arrogant and annoying, he knew someone would ask about the Bible.

He has set out a Deal to get his Freaking Bible out each day

Only Heidi said it was Crazy.

The rest are scared to stand up to that Bible Freak.

If I see him

Sorry but that is nonsense and YOU don't get it.

Here again we show comparisons to show up the bias:

- A HM wants to do 'cheers' around the table.
Nobody says "OH look.. the forced everyone to do their thing.

- A HM has an announcement before they start eating.
Nobody says "Oh.. Im bothered they forced everyone to listen.

- A HM initiates a silly song they made up before they start.
Nobody says "She is forcing the people to sing what she wants.

- A Hindu HM has a special mantra and custom before eating.
Everyone says "Its important they all waited and respected it.

Yet.
- The American Christian guy has some 20 second thing from his culture and invited everyone,
but,
No.. only this is 'forcing them'.
This is 'coercion'.
This is the one that was oh-so highly burdened upon the others.

Now here is the thing:
- The other HMs WILL SAY OR DECLINE when they DONT want to have anything to do with it.
Or just start eating.
Or roll their eyes and wait 20 seconds and not bother next time.
etc.

Its actually insulting to people when you claim x-religion is being 'forced on people' because it implies those 'hearers' are just too stupid to defend themselves or so weak-minded they are being unfairly burdened with 'tough ideas' and 'bullying concepts' or something.
No.
They are grown-ups who are VERY capable of listening to 1,000 ideas and suggestions and requests and then going along if they so feel like it.
So what?
MAYBE a few even WANTED to do it.
Maybe a few just wanted to respect his customs and culture and accommodate him and did so happily?

Whatever the case - they are not somehow 'weak minded' but ONLY when it comes to this one thing. Grace.
Nothing else.
Just this one is the one they are now 'forced into' and only this one is where 20 seconds became 'too much' for some viewers.

The bias is absolutely fascinating to me!
