Hiya guys. For my new years resolution I have promised to watch an awful lot more films than before.. I think I only watched about 15 films last year.. only went to the cinema about 3 times :/ So I have decided that every week I will watch a new film! I get payed about 60 pounds a week so £2.50 for a rental is not really going to make a big impact on my life.. so most films will be rentals down from the nearest SPAR shop
I will review each film I see and post the review in this thread and hopefully build up a little collection of reviews. It would be nice if you wanted to make comments on my reviews or post reviews yourself if you have seen then film :)
Film 1 - The Devil Wears Prada (2006)

I've seen little bits of it.. never seen it the whole way through though.. looking forward to watching it.. it was 3 pounds from ASDA. Got a load of DVD's.. including Gavin and Stacey : the complete collection - for my mum.. that sadly was not 3 pounds.. more like 25 :/ Ahh well.. hopefully she will like it :) If you have any film suggestions that you think I should review then just post them.. Obviously I can't do every film in the world because I have a life.. but I will try to watch some that I think look good :)

if you like Jennifer Garner then Dude, Where's My Car? is a right laugh and Catch Me If You Can is excellent tho she doesn't have a very big role.

I sat at the computer chair and pressed play and throughout the first 3 minutes I was already drawn into the character of Andy. Her likeability and sweetness made me very fond of her and made me want to carry on watching to see how she would get on in her job. I absolutely loved the comedy used by Meryl Streep and thought she played the part amazingly. The whole scene of the office is exactly what I would expect an office like that to be like and the Runway girls were all very bitchy and it came across really well as a whole. I loved the humour put across before Andy underwent her transformation, although at times felt so sorry for her. A really great moment in the film is when she walks into the office in her new spangly clothes and with her hair straightened and face full of make-up and Emily is just gobsmacked. The plot of Andrea becoming the new Emily is very clever and I love the way that Miranda turns her bitchyness towards Emily halfway through. A very good film and I really enjoyed every second of it. The acting from Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep was amazing and I would definitely recommend it to friends
9/10 Stars

nice review, Meryl was great in the role. Emily Blunt was fantastic as usual too.

Yeah.. she was fierce  I'm trying to think of where I have seen her from though.. she looked very familiar? I think she reminds me of Judy Greer who played Lucy in "13 going on 30". That kind of bitchy office worker
