On Alan Carr @ New Years, Davina said that it's possible BB won't be gone forever, but instead come back online. Instead of the HL shows on C4, it would all be web-based.

Do you think this would work? Would you log on to watch an online BB?

Similar experiments have happened before in other countries, but not necessarily with the BB name attached. And I would expect it would be an expensive project to run online. But it's a possibility.

I think it would be good in terms of getting big Brother fans as housemates too... most just go in for the fame these days

While Internet shows have become pretty popular, I can't see BB working online YET. Most Webseries are done on a tight budget and I think BB would be WAY too costly. Then again the main strength of the webseries is that it can have a world wide audience so BBUK could enjoy a larger audience and make it's money through advertising.

It's a possibility, I can't see it happening for a few years mind unless it'll be something you subscribe to but even then it wouldn't be like the BB we know. Give it a few years though and it could work well once Internet television becomes bigger.

Not to mention the fact that they can get away with so much more on the web. OFCOM free zone, baby.

Exactly, Stu.

Youtube would be a good place to start. If they did it right they could have the biggest Internet cult followings.

Not many people would watch it, but its a possibility, alot of shows are now going online and ditching TV.

I was watching this thing about the Eastenders online spin off E20 and the director was talking about shows that are leaving TV for the internet.

But it would suck, stick to Television.
