No, not really. American Idol has more diversity in its finalists, which is great but I don't really like the live shows. It's about 1 minute of a performance and a 5 minute VT about how hard life back in the South is. X Factor is definitely better overall.

I liked Tyler but I wasn't bothered about the others that went. At the moment I really like Crystal (or Cristil.....It's spelt weirdly if I remember right), Siobhan, Dede and Casey. I'll probably like more of the guys as the weeks go on but they had a weak first show really.

Yeah I thought Ellen was a bit random at first but she is good. I like all the American Idol judges and Simon gives better varied constructive critism comments on American Idol than the cliche's we always hear on The X Factor.

The boys are really poor this series, I only really like Casey. Lee's okay but like Danny Gokey last year he's just not that interesting. Aaron's boring and repetitive, Tim's got potential but is generic and niche-less. Mike's not bad but he's got no future as an artist and Andrew peaked in the auditions.

Each of the girls are good and have potential as an artist except for Katie. She's the female Aaron, decent voice at best but dull and has no niche. I want Siobhan or Crystal to win and Didi and Casey to coem third and fourth.
