Can't you see how entertaining he is? According to some, he fills our screens with tv gold entertainment? Don't tell me you can't see it! Shock, horror! Only joking!

Never found him in the slightest bit entertaining!

Billy Connolly, Lee Evans, Alan Carr - there is entertaining!

Vinnie Jones - eh! NO.

I had high hopes for Vinnie but he's a bit like somebody's dad who showed-up at the party and bringing everything down.

My better question is why all the love for Stephanie who brings 0, snoots about the place like she is still in the Carringtons. It confuses me she is top and tails above others on DS,

yousoboo!

Maybe they just like a bit of class over there. It is quite a rarity on this show after all.

There is class and faux class (speaking of Stephanie) but this is a Vinnie thread -

He needs to hand grapple that git Alex in the balls ala famous picture.............I remember Jones as the fitba player - maybe you all too young and I should go die!!!!

Agreed he is mostly boring and he might be something like having a police officer show up at the party,
but,
I suppose he is being cheered on seen as the 'working man' here. It is strange to think of a wealthy celebrity athlete who has been in television and movies as the 'Working man' but I suppose that is his background.
So.. yeah, I think people do love the sort of 'regular person' and 'working class hero' type of guy.

You have to keep in mind we need 'normals' for the 'weirdos' to play off of.
If you only have freaks and nutters with no comparison - that becomes as boring in its own way.

But yeah.. I mean I do see the OPs complaint too.

Claymores

El - I still think somebody's dad showing up at the party is a better analogy - but I'm close to Vinnie's age and can see his stature as about the only 'Celeb' to appear in Hollywood movies last years plus the immaturity of certain others has cast him as the 'daddy' figure. No idea if Jones likes this or not, but hey we all get old.

I guess alot of people like him for from what they know of him in the past. Typical working class guy done well in football & Hollywood. Most of the others have 'negative baggage' like Alex, Dane, Katia so lots of people don't like them from the start.

I'm usually a day behind everyone else but what has any of the other HMs done so far that makes them entertaining?

People are saying that Vinnie is boring because all he does is sit around and talk but that is all I have seen any of them do.

Are they doing something amazing on LF? (which I don't get) and if so then what is it that they do and why isn't it shown in the highlights?

Unless people count Stephen's preaching or Katia's farting as great entertainment I reallly don't see what the others are doing over Vinnie.

Vinne has more negative baggage than most - fact! So that argument doesn't hold out I'm afraid.

True, I think maybe it is because there talent or what they bring to the game is measurable more than say an actor or a musician which is more subjective I guess.

He has been in air rage and that time he got glassed after getting into a fight I assume?

I'm not a fan of him as a footballer tbh I wasn't around to see him play and from what I know he was just a nasty defender but I respect what he achieved with little "talent". Which he is now continuing into his acting career.

Will nobody say what the rest are doing other than talking and why it is not shown on the highlight shows?

Do they build a human pyramid and have Katia do a flaming fart that fires Jonas off the top of it or something? It surely has to be something spectacular as I've only seen them all talking so far, which would surely make them all as boring as Vinnie.

To me the most boring seem to be Dane who doesn't talk much and Stephen who talks too much.

I don't respect him - because as far as I can see - he has simply been lucky. He just happens to have the right look and image for the roles he gets offered! No acting required!

That sentence is just all wrong. HE got glassed and your assuming he was in a fight rather than him glassing someone which would justify your hate for him.

Thats about 80% of the actors on Hollywood described there. Thats how that industry kinda works, not his fault, fair play to him cos if i got movie roles jobs for a physical trait i had then great!

Hence why he gets movie roles, have you seen any of his films, he aint taking Tom Cruises roles away from him.

OK, but that is true for most actors and models and singers and probably most every CBB HM.
Which is not saying he can 'act' either although I would say he is as good as any number of actors (more in the USA than UK),
and,
I really don't know too much about the guys personal life (if he was a bully, obnoxious etc),
but,
I did think he came off as genuinely humble and considerate in his US 'most dangerous' Cop reality show.

But if he has been a bully, braggart and obnoxious in life I wont ever defend that.
I just haven't seen it.

The younger ones seem to have cast him in the role of 'daddy' and unfortunately he seems to be playing that role as opposed to a 'wilder' Vinnie Jones that fans of the show were expecting. So there is a difference between preconceptions and the man, hence the flood of posts complaining he's boring. I didn't think he was oldest male to be cast as 'daddy' until Baldwin said he's only 43 (or did I mishear?!)

But then again, who'd want Baldwin to be their daddy - he'd gladly see you shot rather than renounce God.

I answered your question - simple as! Just cause you don't like the answer - don't try and turn it on me by saying I bear a grudge. Grudges are personal - how could I bear a grudge! I have never met him.

On the other hand - you seem pretty obsessed with him. That's up to you - but it doesn't mean everyone else has to like him. I don't. Make of that what you will!
