I was wondering why do most people on here ignore the obvious about Katia -
Yes, she is "famous" due to her relationship to Ronnie Woods. Of course. But so far as I know, no one auditions to be on CBB! She was approached. She was offered money. She is not rich. Why not go if they ask you to and pay you for it? Would you have refused? On what grounds? Not to offend the other Z-list celebrities there?

What baffles me too is why almost everyone assumes that she was with Woods for money? Yeah, I know, he has wrinkles, how horrible! He has "trollface"! OMG! How can people who have never even met him be sure that that is all there is to him?!

Let´s assume for a moment she didn´t get involved with Woods to become famous, but fell for him, and became a tabloid fodder as a result. Impossible? I don´t think so at all, personally.
So she is already thrust into this situations when complete strangers make judgements on her, not really knowing anything about her. Why not go on CBB, get paid and may be have a chance to show people that she is not the "russian golddigging slut" she has been branded as? And get paid for it too. Ok, I admit, if she did believe she´d be able to change public´s perception of her, it was naive, but well... she IS young.

Have you noticed the epithets most used when talking about this story and her? Ronnie is a "wrinkly trollface" and she is a "golddigging russian w**re". How very mature! Comments about their relationship and her have said more about the commenters than about Ronnie and Katia themselves!

We will ALL get wrinkles at some point or end up looking like Ivana, George Cloonie is supposedly the sexiest man on earth and I have no idea why, so there´s no arguing about taste, and we may ALL fall in love with someone who happens to be rich famous and not look like Clooney. And we ALL might have been born to Russian parents, in which case, of course, we´d automatically be goldddigging wh**res.
I wish people would stop being so one-dimensional and simplistic and sheep-like and just use their brains at least once in a while. I don´t think it´s too much.

The only time I've seen Woods outwith the rock n roll setting was as a guest on Top Gear.........he came across as a really nice bloke who was surprisingly coherant after all the braincells he must have killed. And quite well grounded for a multi-millionaire.

So it's not inconceivable Woods and Katia had a genuine thing going, and that she's not solely a moneygrabbing tart.

It is full of it! But what really annoys me is the amount of girls that do it! Girls judge the female contestants worse than the blokes. Exactly! And what do we know about the state of his family before he met Katia? He stayed with his wife and raised his kids, he didn´t leave them when they were little. It is more than 50% of the population can say about themselves! Staying with my husband when we hit a rough patch, when our child was little, was the hardest hell I have ever been through. I respect people who are capable of that. I can´t think why Katia should be responsible for keeping Ronnie with a woman he didn´t want to be with anymore.

I wasn't taking any moral standpoint WOMBAI (I watch BB much like a football match, sorry) - cos I gamble a lot on BB I overthink it and try to ree all the angles then try to prethink how viewers will react/vote

I fail miserably usually as when you have to watch a lot of BB and all the fansites you become involved!

At least I'm honest about why I sometimes get passionate bout stuff! It's not just the money, I get involved.

I can tell you i had a couple of boyfirends like that. one even looked like Johnas (but better looking , a lot taller :) ). I was very pleased at first, showing him off to my friends and all .... within about 2 to 3 weeks it just didnt feel right. He'd bore me to tears, he just had to go... not sure now if it was the right decission, but there yah go... (i think it was the right one though)...;)

I used to be too, when I was younger. But now I´ve seen that people ARE mostly good. Weak, confused, misunderstood, silly, yes, but basically good and meaning well. There´s always the 2-4% sociopaths in every society and it´s easier to notice them because they are outspoken, but the rest of us are basically sweet people, meaning well and having many layers. Sometimes you have to stop and make an effort to see through them. Very few of us have time and energy. It´s easier to be cynical. But it´s not objective even from a mere statistical point of view. :hug:
