I don't think it's possible to define sanity and insanity so easily. There are different levels, behaviours, characteristics, etc. So I suppose if there were more insane than sane, it would be switched.

No because of why people are insane

Say schizophrenia was the only mental illness and 60% of people had it ... then probably the 40% who don't have it would be the insane ones because the little voice doesn't tell them what to do :joker:

The word insane is an adjective to describe a person. So yes the tables can be turned over and change the meaning of the word.

I can't remember the film - I think it was Conspiracy - but one of the actors says, "Look at the world and tell me the pleasures of sanity". Don't know why that entered my thoughts there really! It's just that I've always felt we're all a bit insane, in varying degrees obviously.

Sanity isn't that straightforward and is hard to measure. That's what my shrink says, anyway. You never know what's going on in people's heads.

Plus, the insane don't think about being crazy... they've got other things to do.

I actually believe this to be true. I think it is impossible for anybody to be truly sane. The human mind is a very complex system of thoughts and emotions.

If you look at all the factors you need to have a personaility disorder, to a degree, everyone has one. That is why i'm thinking more and more mental health is a load of contradicting bollocks lol
