I seen Jonathan Ross have a compaign to bring it back, and a lot of other critics. I think they should axe the summer series and keep CBB. Like in the US, they axed the apprentice, but regularly run the Celebrity apprentice, because its so popular.
Here's an article about CBB!

Thing is Cbb is generally ****, last couple of years its been terrible, this time they have put in more money more effort and better people.
Thats why its so good.
The summer series is usually better, and will be again thats if they put in the effort.

I take small winter dose of CBB over an overly large summer dose of BB. Celebs have 2 persona's, the TV public persona and who they really are, that is fascinating.

The only reason its good is because its the last series, what the hell is the point in axing the main show and keeping a spin off show?
Its retarded, and they should just keep the summer series never mind the celebrity series.
I always thought when another channel buys Big Brother, they would JUST take BB but now im not so sure, they would probley take on BB12 and if it does well then they would take on CBB aswell.
The BBC did a similar thing with Fame Academy too, Celebrity Fame Academy had a further 3 series' after the axing of the main show.
I think the main BB has long run its course but there is definitely room for the celebrity version. If Channel 4 don't take Celeb BB, then I'm sure another broadcaster will or at the very least there will be a copycat version springing up very soon.
I think CBB has a much bigger chance of being picked up than BB itself.

If it was more directly linked to a charity event, like the first two Celeb BB's, then I can see point in keeping it, but there's really no point in axing one and keeping the other.

This year is for Comic Relief

Well thanks. :)
At least Ive got one person that agrees with me.
Seems most dont see it that way I guess. I just think, the fact that CBB is shorter, and its people we kind of know as celebrities, it makes for much better TV. The popularity Celeb Apprentice, really made me think of it. Its a much more entertaining show.
Lately, the summer versions, seems to showcase similar charater who usually are some sort of cliches of something.
But its just an opinion.

I think the problem with the summer BB is the novelty of watching ordinary people has long worn off and the producers can no longer shock us. People just won't commit to 13 weeks per year, almost every night anymore. With Celeb BB, its people we already have a vague idea about plus it isn't on for too long so isn't too much commitment to follow.
After this series i think everybody wants to watch another one.
A part of me thinks they should keep it like that because if CBB6 was the last one, I wouldn't have cared that CBB will never be back. That way at least its going out on a high. But then its whether they want to send it out on a high or if they want to milk every last drop like they have with the summer BB.

I'm sure CBB1 also aired on BBC1 though? I mean more in aid of a charity, airing around the time of the event etc.
I think they're just donating portions of the phone votes to CR.

I think that is a great idea I do think they shoud considor keeping CBB. I can imagine more popular celebrities taking part too that way.

Its actually come to a suprise for me actually. So many years of crtics and celebs slating in and now this happens.
I like Jonathan Ross even more now!! :) Thing is he has always had an interest in BB, and Davina has been on his show alot in the past, so i think they are quite good friends.

Yeah, there were 10 minute updates on BBC1 every day and the final was shown on BBC1 too, watched by about 12m I think.
If Channel 4 did keep it they should push it back to coincide with Comic/Sport Relief so we'd get a series around February/March one year then July the next or move it to match Children in Need if they want to support a BBC charity.

No Its to late.
On TV they book ahead 2 years.
So Ch4 has all next years slot filled.
So it will end on Ch4.
But next year moves to the Watch Ch.
and Pay Per View Online.

they have not helped themselves by just simply never having celebs on. the public can see what is going on.
if they had actual celebs the viewing figs would rocket.
as for regular BB. it is toilet and should be flushed

For one you really arne't going to get anyone who is A-list for the simple fact it is a career killer to anyone with a career and most don't need the money.
It has never got as many viewers as programmes like xfactor etc because it isn't family entertainment, it is tarnished, partly due to normal BB where the housemates are so desperate they shove winebottle up themselves and partly because it is just a late night show.
