No it has the same run of 16 episodes. It was going to only be 7-10 due to budget constraints but they managed to negotiate it back up thankfully.

Yeah same. I used to be obsessed with it but the series Lip left I lost interest... Gonna give it another shot, but reading this thread ain't give me much hope- Mandy killed off, Debbie not in. There must only be about 4-5 orginal cast members left?

I got sick of Debbie anyway. Didn't care much for the whole late teen clubbing stuff last series. Mandy was a bang and a half though. I'd love to see Noel [you know, Paddy's gay brother] come back as a full time character but obviously that would take far too much effort to pull off.

I think Frank needs a proper long term storyline this series. Not just some random storylines and comic bits and bobs in between the Gallaghers.

Apparently a character is coming back according to a Shameless insider on FB the most rumoured is Lip now that Mandy's dead and Katie is left with the Maguires.

It will be good to see him back.

Have to watch the last episode of the last series on YouTube. The ending was fantastic with the Stone Roses monologue and the Dropkick Murphy's.

I agree about the Debbie going clubbing thing didn't really fit, sort of drifted from her original character. Also liked Lip when he was in, he was great with Ian and got good storylines. Fiona was good too, she kinda got quite big, well Marie Ann Duff, but don't think shes doing much at the moment. But to be fair, there is only so much you can do on an estate without it getting repetative, and let's be honest, they've done quite alot. So hopefully we will get some creative storylines.
