It seems like tons of former BB people have written books and pretty much all the celebrities in the UK have written books. Katie Price has written what, 4 or 5, within the past 5 years? It's weird! Why does everyone feel the need to write a book. People rarely buy books here in the US anymore. At least, I don't...

The UK still has a massive book market, I guess that is a part or our culture. On the other hand Celebrity biographies do not sell as well over here compared to other books.

Its a utter fact. Waterstones have said celeb biographies are one of the least selling books in the stores.

You make me laugh. :D

Jordan couldn't write her name never mind write a book. They're all written for her, she just puts the name (written for her, too). LOL.

And you'd have to be the dumbest person in the world to believe Alan Titchmarsh writes all those romantic novels. LOL. Flecking joke. :D

The answer is they dont. People at publishers have a job to think of books that will sell so they target celebs and ask them if they will put their name to various projects and get them written for them. Childrens books are ideal and easy (Gerry Halliwell) as are autobiogs.

99.9% of the books "written" by "celebs" have been instigated by the publishers.

They're not the ones writing them you know.

Actually, the meaning of the word 'autobiography' has all but collapsed in the last ten years.
