Why is this day the most depressing?

I think it's decided on a number of things:

a) it's a Monday
b) now is about the time that credit cards and financial bills [from Christmas overspending] come through
c) it's January and cold

I only know this because it was on my birthday one year and I demanded to know why, lmao
