many survivors must be questioning their faith. where was God in relation to this terrible disaster?

The same place I would guess he was when French colonists decided it was a good idea to build Haiti's capital city right on top of a faultline. But seen as Africans were nothing more than expendable slave labour to them, I doubt they cared. :-/

You know, it's funny that alot of survivours are thanking god for 'letting' them live. The way Christians think I doubt they will question their faith, they have it drilled into them that Natural Disasters are part of the 'plan'

I am not sure they were privvy to geological information pertaining to likely earthquake areas back then?

did you see the maps they were using, they looked like a drawing of a spicy knik-knak

Have you never entertained the thought that life itself is a miracle and that we are luckier than we will ever know that our lives aren't a daily struggle for survival?

I have a lot of sympathy for those concerned on this subject. I had 15 aftershocks the othernight and couldn't find my house too.
