I do think it's a bit ridiculous that it extends as far back as 30 years ago; but I think all of the albums on that list are (from what I know of them) fantastic.

I looked the list and thought ??? just as everyone else but after thinking it over and it made sense with the 10 albums the brits have chosen..and why

The albums are 10 past winners..of a particular years...so they cant have oasis and then blur from the same year as that wouldnt be fair......so they have been spread and im sure won by votes within the brit camp I feel

Ive brought at the time 6 of the 10 albums listed as when released.

I thought oasis when it came out when I was taking drugs at 20 yrs old was a clear winner...but now you couldnt let that win for pure original art and lyrics as it wasnt blueprint.

When oasis came out dire straits brothers in arms was well out of fashion...but now it is a clear winner and original and blue print.

side one ....was about life.,, working, problems , worry, *****s for cash

side 2...ride across the river...war...re written history with armys and crooks

its seems so relavent of our modern times 25 yrs after its release.
