During his eviction interview, Derek said he was going to write to Science and send him a book. I think he did like Science, even though they clashed a lot.

I think Derek actually respects Science cos he speaks his mind and he also liked Lesley and Kinga for that but I dont think he likes the fact that he was more popular than him at times thats why they were in a love/hate relationship!
