did vinnie bring up his wife having a heart transplant 20 years ago or whatever? is he looking for sympathy or something? :bored:

I genuinely think if he was looking for sympathy he'd have told everyone by now. I know I would have.

But yeah, GypsyGoth made a good point.

I didn't get it either, when he first mentioned it I thought that is awful, what is he doing in the house. Then he said it happened 20years ago!!! I wasn't even born then!

He is going mad.

it was so flipping random.

it was so flipping random.

And the way Stef was sitting on the floor at the end of his bed, that whole scene was strange.

well no he is quite within his rights to speak on the subject, perhaps the show was edited to look like he was bringing it up randomly but i dont see why he would need the publics sympathy,in his eyes he's playing the best game in there..

He said that just after talking about needing a new target to mess with so my first thought when i heard him say that was He's found a new target i.e Steph.

But with the editing it's hard to say.

He could not of been making it up could he? remember when Nasty Nick made up about his Gf/Wife died.

I can't believe he would make it up given his status as a hollywood actor, so i'm probably wrong but it was my snatched first thought when he said it.

When I watched this scene, I smelled a rat. I thought he was winding Stephanie up. He said that he hadn't told the other housemates, so that means Stephanie can't tell the others to find out if they know any truth about the subject.

I didn't believe him because when he said it was 20 years ago, I thought that was too long to survive after a heart transplant. I thought it was 10 to 15 years.

So, I looked it up on the net and it's all true. She gave birth to her first child naturally, but she had an epidural, which she believes caused her heart to collapse. She received a donor heart 6 weeks after diagnosis and has check ups since. She has had her new heart for about 22 years now and is still doing well. Incidentally, the longest a person has survived after having a heart transplant is 27 years. That's the current record.

I believe it's called "conversation". He and Stephanie get on and he was just saying that he is proud of the fact that his wife is the longest surviving heart transplantee in the UK. He would get more sympathy if he kept on about his 18 year old soldier son in Afghanistan, but he hasn't.
