Quite a lot of Vinnie natural supporters read the Daily star, I imagine. These supporters being mainly weedy teenage lads who see an alpha male when they look in the mirror, and saddo females who like to be dominated! ;)

Article here (http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/view/118197/VINNIE-FIXES-IT-TO-WIN/).

A rather interesting bit comes at the end of the article:

And it seems the bookmakers are starting to take notice.

Vinnie had been the clear favourite to win the show since Day One.

But in the last 48 hours, the bookies have decided Sisqo, Nicola T, 27, and Alex Reid are now strong contenders to take the crown when the series ends a week tomorrow.

That reporters opinion is no more fact than any opinions on this board. Just another person who doesn't like him thats all. We saw all that for ourselves on the show anyway.

When Vinnie says he has no competition I think he meant in terms of character and strength. That was my interpretation anyhow.

I was a big fan of Vinnie before, but i dont want him to win because its obvious, he will get more arrogant, he will think its okay to treat people the way he does.

I like Nicola and Alex, but i agree, we have had extra nice winners in the past.
So it must be Sisqo or Stephen for me... whichever one survives eviction should win.

never thought I would say it but i am really going of Vinnie now.

I think alot can be read into those who went to check on Dane to see if he was ok after his" nightmare " and those who decided they were too important to move from their beds.

Really don't like Vinnie now, and I wanted him to win up until a few days ago.

He's just exposed himself to be nothing but a miserable, grumpy old woman, with a massive chip on his shoulder and he does nothing but bitch, complain and snipe at people, all under the guise of it being banter. He's not an alpha male at all, just a control freak.

I've totally gone off Vinnie now - fed up with his knowing looks and raised eyebrows to people. I would like to see the rest of them interact in there without him manipulating them.

If you believe spiteful bullies to be entertaining I ask what is wrong with you?

I genuinely have no idea why people have been so keen on Vinny. Utterly charmless guy.

No, the spiteful bully that was Sov left several days ago, and hopefully Sisqo will now be heading the same way (pity though that Stephen or Ivana will go as well). All that jealous ranting about Vinnie was pathetic. Quite liked him up till then, now he can go back to chasing little girls.

Not a Vinnie fan, but the 'big characters' in Big Brother are generally the bitchy ones. BB4 was the the most civilised house we ever had in Big Brother, but it was also the most boring. Big Brother always needs a villain.

A couple of things puzzle me. On is why Vinnie is still odds-on favourite to win and, secondly, do people really know what sort of person he is?

Here are a few snippets from his life of violence (taken from the web):

During his playing days, he was renowned for his "hard man" image, an aspect of his play that was frequently the target of criticism. He was sent off 12 times in his career, as well as holding the record for the quickest ever booking in a football match, being booked after just three seconds for a foul

He was convicted of assaulting a neighbour in 1998

In December 2003, Jones was convicted of air rage offenses committed on a flight the previous May

In December 2008 he was treated for injuries and arrested after a bar fight

I'm not sure I understand the difference in the case of Big Brother. Grace, Charley, Alexandra, Rex and Bea all pretty much acted like real life jerks. If anything, Vinnie has simply been playing the game in a more rudimentary fashion. It's nothing like Grace who bitched and bullied her way to week 4 until Suzie got carte blanche on nominations, Carole who used cunning, aggressive methods of emotional manipulation to make sure the other housemates nominated loyally or Jen, Dennis, Rebecca, et al who made Mo's life in the house a misery for a good couple of weeks.

Vinnie has a long and sordid history of physical violence.

Now that he is older and out of shape (Alex could floor him in a second), Vinnie resorts to more subtle forms of violence.

Cant understand some of you its a bloody game when you enter a game you play to win if not dont go there.People's history should'nt come in to this its what you are now and how good you are at playing the game the idea is to fool anybody who gets in the way.

Yes, it is a game and you play to win. But you can play clean or play dirty.

Vinnie is playing dirty - as he has done all his life, since his footballing days. Which is why his history is relevant.

But he should not be rewarded for playing dirty. He should get BB's red card... just as he did when playing football!

Ideally Vinnie will stay till the final and then get evicted in 4th or 5th place to massive boos (kind of like a Makosi situation). He's played a great social game in the house and will probably be rewarded by escaping all pre-final evictions, but at this point I don't see how he could win. If Sisqo survives this eviction and then lives up to his promise by taking on Vinnie next week (and if it lives up to our expectations) then he's a deserving winner. Unfortunately I just can't see Stephen doing the same thing.

Save Sisqo! Let's have a killer final week!
