Old school tunes are class and a great way to finish off the night, bassline first to fully get you wrecked whatever you're drinking;).

Used to go to a poxy little club here in dublin on a monday and the last song was always Journey - Don't Stop Believing, kids went crazy for it.....I tend to find clubs now repeat songs way too much and not enough old school classics are played anymore....

Got bored of it when I was 18.
I love clubbing in my city. There's a full street of clubs, it's amazing. Never gets boring and there's Oceana which has a singer every Saturday night so it's all good.
I'm out this weekend.

I wish Dublin was like that, we have some great clubs but theyre all mashed all over the city and its effort to go from one to another....

It's good but its turned more into a gig place now, lots of great venues for small gigs, plus theres one place that has a rave on with fancy dress most weeks......

Loved it from when I was 15 till just after I turned 19, then got bored and now I hardly ever go. It kind of loses its appeal after you've clubbed yourself out
When you do bar work you become much more conscious about it

I've started clubbing at the age of 15. It was illegal but I always look way older than I was so everybody thought I was at least 18.
I've been a huge party boy for years. I just love meeting new people, experiencing new things, listening to some bad ass and pretty much everything happens at night.
So I think I've done pretty much all night clubs in Southern France.
And then I realized a few months ago that, I enjoy going out more in a pub/bar than clubbing until 8am like I used to. My friends feel the same too and the reason may be that we've seen it all since we were young boys and now we're quite bored of it.
But I still enjoy a great night out in my fave nightclub where I used to be a DJ and where I discovered elektro music and danced until 8am. It was fun and still is fun.

i haven't been to a club since new years eve :(
too many exams
i remember clubbing back in the 90s
that's when drugs were drugs, not like the s**t you get today, proper e's
dripping with sweat, still raving at 7 o clock in the morning
sorted, mad for it
I'm a pub and gig bloke. Can't stand clubs. I might have 20 years ago but the tripe they play now is unfathomable. I'd rather sit in a bar and knock back a few with some good convorsation rather than pay money to have a bouncer judge me to let me into a claustrophobic hall of twats who think wearing bright colours and dancing like a nutter to pop hits makes them wild and endearing.
Clubbing should be about popping, coming up, and coming back down at 7 the next morning. Rave used to mean something. You would go out and spend about fifteen quid and you would still have one of the best nights of your life. It's all too corporate now. My generation has very little in the way of a meaningful culture.
God, I hate people my age.

We aint that bad lol.
I went to a club last night, it was amazing. Great DJ, and just lots of anthems and classics. It was really packed and everyone was sweating and everyone was there to have a great time... it was a good night! Also the club organised a CO2 cannon... which is like a big blast of dry ice on the crowd, it was insane!
I only go once a week... sometimes even less, I don't like to over due it! I go to the pub far more than clubs.

Indeed, hardly have any good pubs left here either really. The pub culture is on it's knees. If I find the right pub I can just chill there all day, especially if there is a game on or something, always brings a good crowd. I don't really like locals but like it when you know a few people as well. But too many chain bars offering cheap cheap drinks now, and the alci's usually swarm over it and it becomes a dump. It's quite a sad thing seeing people que up at 9 am to get their first drink.

I first went aged 17, and found it brilliant. But I now only go like once or twice a month, if that. I just find it boring...we used to go out every week, and it doesn't take long to realise you're dancing to the same ****, vomiting and waking up feeling the same ennui.
However much you try to dress it up with fancy dress nights, or whatever, it's still the same. I much prefer house parties and sleepovers, and such stuff.

Pubs are boring. Out of pubs, clubs and bars I think bars are by far the best of the 3 atm

Depends where you go, thats why Manchester is so big for nightlife because its quite rare you'll find 2 clubs that are the same.
Not all pubs.

i dont mind it although do prefere pubs now i dont go very often now anyway prob once a month (am out tonight) when i was younger we'd do clubbing 2 of our 4 weekly nights out i dont drink all that much now. clubbing is worse since the smoking law was brought in before you could just smell smoke now you smell stale beer and bo
I go out twice a week if I can... student night on Wednesday then Saturday nightlife. I never get bored of it, some nights I might come home earlier than others but it depends if I started earlier...
It also depends on what people you go out with, I mix the people I go out with and always see a load of people I haven't seen for ages.
Like I said, everywhere is different I remember somebody mentioning they have to travel quite a bit to each different club... where I live there's a big long street with 15 clubs! Then up the road there's 5 others. So it's amazing, you never get bored and you can mix the clubs up each week.

Yeah usually once every few months or even once every 6 months I get a bit too drunk with a hangover. I prefer just to be tipsy but sometimes on the odd occasions can drink too much and then regret it! Well I had fun so suppose no point regretting lol.
I do like the rock clubs like Priory or 70/80s music like Flares and Reflex lol.

Love the 90's tunes myself TB;):p.
I was out on Wednesday night with one of my best friends, just the two of us... it was fun, and we bumped into heaps of people we knew, but the vast majority of my guy friends don't drink, or don't drink to get drunk, so I don't go out as much as I used to because I can never find someone to go out with. I still enjoy it though, if it's a night out where there are lots of people I know going. I hate clubbing on weekends; it's far too busy, far too dressy and far too expensive. Weekdays, particularly Wednesdays, are the best nights to go out, I feel!

And Ross.. gotta love Wind Street :P We're pretty lucky everything's pretty close together!

I prefer a good late bar to be honest with you. Worked in nightclubs for years and never really enjoyed it.... always preferred working in the bar where there was a bit of live music and craic.
Clubs are for mugs. Even the alternative clubs I was never happy with because it's all the alternative people rounded up like cattle so it's not really all that alternative anymore.
