Producers are "thrilled" by the ratings for this years show and say that the show is too big to be put in the bin.

Apparently they may restore it in a couple of years time.

What do you think? C4 seem to be panicking

I still can't believe they had to wait until it got axed to produce a bad ass series, that's the most shocking thing and now C4 is eating its brain out. Morons.

Also celebs such as Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand have called for the series to continue... now with all the support, C4 seem to be running scared :)

God I hope so, should return with a new format, shock twists more bad-ass celebs and a bigger budget than ever!

Not surprising, though I'd much rather the main show return on its own. But I guess this'll be better than nothing...

Yey! I really does hope it come back. We dont want TiBB to fizzle out.

I agree. U'd prefer the main show to return on it's own too.

I hope it doesn't. This should be the final series, it seems lacklustre for them just to say, oh we've changed our minds.

Two words - "Daily Star".

If you actually read beyond the headline no one at C4 or any other broadcaster has indicated they wish to air future series - all they have is someone at Endemol wanting to keep their job!

Ah I see - disappointing. I'm getting to like CBB better as not so populated by China White wannabees.. Even if some of the contestant's credentials for being a Celebrity are a bit dodgy

They should rest it next year then bring it back bigger than ever :D

I doubt it. I'd like it if it was true though, BBC1 and ITV1 both have a flagship celebrity show so maybe Channel 4 should continue with theirs.

But if they do keep it, we'd probably have to get a new house because I doubt they could justify keeping that one for a month a year unless Elstree Studios reclaim it and use it as another studio whilst BB is off air. We'd probably get one like Fame Academy which in turn means the crowd would probably have to be dropped.

The celebrity series outlived the proper series in aid of Comic Relief ... the same could happen with BB

It was dropped after 2 main series' and 5 celebrity ones

I'd like for it to return and I think it probably will eventually. If it returns by itself it could be fantastic as it'd have a larger budget then it would normally (since there wouldn't be two series a year) If they want to keep it on though they need to keep up the quality.

There is no reson why 'Watch Ch.'
can not take the Normal Endemol BB on.
Once they are on Freeview, soon
it will be ideal.

Their only problem is their budget.

Five or Sky would make a success out of BB imo:), manage it properly and make sure that the format wouldn't become tired and actually care for it unlike C4 and they would listen to what we fans want.

A break then a return would be great because BB is one of those programmes we've all got used to so can't disappear for good:bawling:.

Channel 4 arent panicking, they are not the show's producer, they simply air(transmit) the show.

A temporary house wouldn't be too much of a problem - more costly than a permanent house, but compared to renting the space to use for just 3-4 weeks a year probably cost effective.

Remember Endemol had a set in Bristol (before Deal or No Deal came along) which they used for the Panto season and a few others shows around the time, like Fool Around with... and 24 Hour Quiz, both of which housed contestants for a period of time. Shows like Fame Academy, Hells Kitchen, Back to Reality and other BB rip-offs have also had temporary houses.

It could work in their favour- the "Big Brother Mansion" for Celebrity BB especially if they pick the right location. It certainly has more of a celebrity and glamorous feel to it than the current wooden shed they've been in since 2002.
