Sorry guys, 35p goes to Haiti, 15p goes to Comic Relief.
I'm all for charridy but I'm not too big on the self righteous anal topics.
People will donate if they want to donate, and they wont if they don't. If you care about Haiti so much there are far more ways to donate even slightly larger amounts of money that don't involve giving yourself a Big Brother vote and a nice little CD to validate what a great guy you are.
Get on the phone - in private - and throw them a tenner. And don't brag about it to others.

So if there was an earthquake wherever you lived, you'd sooner people left you to fend for yourself rather than have them send you Aid, and/or donate money to try and improve the life you have left.
Just a thought. I'm hardly holding you at gun point to do it. Just a simple reminder.
Did I say you were holding a gun to my head? That said, simple reminders don't usually involve three pleas in the one post. Like I said, there are far better ways to donate money to Haiti.
Don't get the wrong impression, mind you. I fully understand the countries suffering. I don't want to be thrown in the same bracket as windowlicking tools like Patrick, who seems to have no worldview or context deducting skills past whats happening on Eastenders during the week.
Uncalled for attention? Do you understand the meaning of either word, Patrick? Time to ring the special needs assistant and ask her to explain the situation to you.

There is a location thing you know, so dont say 'wherever' you live.
Anyways, there will never be an Earthquake in Ireland, I would find it quite funny well depends how big it is.
I also know that no one would give a **** if it happened here.

Come on, that's not true. There's very few places if a natural disaster hit, that the world wouldn't care about. Ireland isn't one of them.

All these celebs doing benefits and concerts to raise money for good causes makes me puke. Why don't they, with all their millions give a million each that they wouldn't even miss, instead of using these disasters to promote themselves as caring, sharing individuals and generating publicity for themselves. Not only would the victims get aid quicker, us poor saps who are barely able to make ends meet as it is would not be harrassed for handouts.
Strange too. that we have a government able to pledge millions of pounds to disaster relief, when they can't look after their own elderly and sick properly. Charity begins at home. Haiti has stronger ties with the USA - let the yanks step up and do something useful for a change.

The reason why celebrities put on a big show for it is because it will inspire more people to vote. Simple. Do you think Bono and Jay-Z donating in secret will influence the same amount of people to vote as Bono and Jay-Z doing it on TV?

1. An Earthquake would never happen in Ireland because of were Ireland is positioned on the Earths Plates.
I think it would be quite cool if Ireland got Earthquakes but unfortunatly the UK doesnt.
2. Dont tell me im bitter and 'Have Issues' when you know **** all about me.

Well a map doesnt show tectonic boundaries so it would be of no use either way, anyway it was a in a metaphorical sense.

No it wasn't. You quiet clearly posed the question 'why wouldn't an earthquake happen in Ireland?'.
Because Ireland does not meet the geographic requirements for an earthquake to possibly occur. That's why.

It was meant in a metaphorical way. Theres no need to constantly disagree with someone to try and show you have a higher intelligence it impress's no-one

No, it wasn't meant in a metaphorical way. What you posted wasn't a metaphor, it was a question. You can't change the rules of the English language to suit your own arguments. You wondered why an earthquake could not happen in Ireland. That. Is. Not. A. Metaphor.
Leave the whole 'lolz your getting the better of me so I'm going to complain about how ure trying to look intelligent' **** out. I get that same argument about four times a day from people. I'm not trying to look intelligent by telling you legit geographical queries can't be metaphors because it's just a base fact. And I'm certainly not trying to impress anybody. Who is it you know who is 'impressed' by discussions on the nature of the English language?

Doesnt have to be an earthquake, could be another natural disaster, or even just an problem within the country Patrick.
Lets say for example you have some civil unrest, say two political/religious groups with opposing views decide to start shooting and blowing up people from what they considered the other side. Wouldnt you like someone to srep in and help separate the two warring parties, eventually helping to bring peace to the area.
Would you still be against outside help then Patrick? Or would you keep your 'jack' attitude?

Oh yes which makes his jack attitude all the more puzzling, the N. Irish are a nice bunch of people, friendly, helpful and caring, when they aint blowing each other to ******.
Maybe Patrick when he grows up will think about other people helping his community by making efforts to bring about peace. And remeber back to his recent posts about Haiti and feel a little shame, about showing himself to be a selfish and ungrateful wee boy.
If Sky can get votes down to 5p like they have on Got To Dance then there is no reason at all why Channel 4 are still charging 50p.
Channel 4 are loosing money hand over fist, and paid a rather large amount for a Big Brother that would wind up getting a third of it's peak audience.
Remember they even scrapped the charridy altogether last summer!

Voting doesn't make much anyway. During BB8 and 9 it was all for charity, between the 2 series' they only raised about £500k. Thats not even half of Davina's salary per series. I say 'only' because when you consider there were about 25 sets of public votes between the shows and the fact that voting figures hit 22m during BB7 ... noone votes anymore.

Dont forget they get one hell of a wedge from whoever sponsors the show, then advertisement placing in the commercial break, because its now popular advertisers will pay more to be placed in the breaks on the last few days.
There is a knock on effect that advertisers will pay more for placement during the summer BB series.

Well I have a mind of my own and don't need to have my conscience prodded by anybody else least of all overpaid bleeding heart celebs who could probably afford to fund the Haiti aid effort single handed if they wanted to instead of buying yet another Ferrari or mansion. I am perfectly capable of and willing to make charitable donations of my own volition and don't need wall to wall a*se kicking on every tv channel to do it.Jay-Z and Bono are two of the richest "celebrities" on the planet and if they make donations in secret, so what. They're not going to miss a million or two whilst the average person is struggling to get by on a daily basis but still manages to contribute what they can, without trumpeting it to all and sundry. I am left unimpressed by the sanctimonious posturing of celebs eager to jump on the bandwagon every time something like this happens
